A man and two dogs were walking on the street of a small town in the Land of Fire.
When Chinatsu and Douzo passed by, one of the ninja dogs suddenly said to Chinatsu, "Hey, little Chinatsu, I seem to smell the scent of Uchiha Sasuke. Although it is very weak, it is very close. Do you sense Uchiha Sasuke's chakra?"
"No." Chinatsu shook her head, but her eyes turned to Douzo, who had just passed by. From his mind, Chinatsu read that the other party was hired by Uchiha Sasuke, and it seemed that he was going to cause trouble for her father.
He really overestimated his own abilities.
It just so happens that she can find Fujiwara Kirito through him.
Who told Kirito to have the ability to block perception?
"That's strange. I clearly smelled it," the ninja dog said.
The other ninja dog nodded in agreement. "Me too."
"I think it's probably that he met the companions recruited by Sasuke. I sensed it. Among the crowd, only that guy has decent chakra. You can smell it yourself to see if it's him." Chinatsu turned her eyes to Douzo in front of the crowd.
Hearing this, the two ninja dogs quickly concentrated their sense of smell, and sure enough, they found Sasuke's scent on the other party.
So the girl and two dogs followed.
Without any whistles, Chinatsu chased after him, dragged him to an empty alley, and beat him up, then began to interrogate him violently in front of the two ninja dogs.
On the other side, in the forest outside the town.
Sasuke had already rushed to the meeting place.
At the same time, Jūgo and Suigetsu also arrived.
"Strange, hasn't that guy Dosan come yet?" Suigetsu looked around but didn't see Dosan anywhere.
"He should have gone to the town. He has a special information channel, and it seems that he's going there to inquire about news." Jūgo, who was standing aside playing with birds, answered.
"To get information? I think he went to gamble. That guy's a gambler. The money Sasuke gave him last time—he lost it all in a few bets." Suigetsu looked disdainful and turned to Sasuke. "Hey, Sasuke, are you going to ignore that guy? If you keep going like this, it'll be easy to leak our info."
"It doesn't matter. Maybe we can use this to lure out the members of the Akatsuki organization. And compared to this..."
Sasuke said, a ball of lightning appearing in his left hand. He threw a dense Chidori Senbon into the jungle behind him.
"So dangerous, it's the same ninjutsu as Senior Kirito. That's really dangerous."
A wretched voice suddenly rang out, and a masked man in a red cloud and black robe slowly walked out of the dense forest.
"Is this guy dressed like Akatsuki?" Suigetsu was shocked and quickly pulled out the beheading sword from behind to protect Sasuke.
Jūgo did the same. He activated the Curse Mark, and his left arm turned into a monster's claw.
"You're Sasuke? Nice to meet you. My name is Afei." Obito, disguised as Tobi, came forward in a comedic posture to greet them.
"Suigetsu, catch him." Without much nonsense, Sasuke ordered his teammates to attack.
Having just "killed" Orochimaru and awakened the Mangekyō, Sasuke was full of confidence. Aside from Kirito and Uchiha Itachi, everyone else looked like nobodies to him.
Especially Obito in this silly appearance.
"I was waiting for you to say that." Seeing that it wasn't Fujiwara Kirito, Suigetsu let down his guard and swung the beheading sword at Obito.
Just as it was about to hit, Obito's acting spirit possessed him again. While dodging frantically, he taunted in a silly tone, "Can't hit me! Can't hit me! Still far off!"
Suigetsu kept slashing but couldn't land a hit.
"This guy… how can his body be so slippery?" Suigetsu cursed inwardly.
"It looks like Suigetsu can't handle this one alone. Sasuke, I'll go help." Jūgo nodded to Sasuke and rushed over.
Obito suddenly felt the pressure increase and yelled for help, "Hey, hey! This isn't what we agreed! Senior Deidara! Senior Kirito! Senior Pakura! Help me!"
"Kirito… is that guy here?" Sasuke was stunned and looked up to see Deidara descending with two giant clay birds.
Just as the birds neared the ground, Deidara jumped down and formed a hand sign, shouting, "Hah!"
Boom.
The two clay birds exploded.
"Sasuke!" Suigetsu and Jūgo realized they were tricked. They yelled and tried to advance, but it was too late. All they could do was brace themselves against the blast.
When the smoke cleared, they saw Sasuke standing unharmed in the center of a white giant snake's coil.
The two sighed in relief.
"Where is Fujiwara Kirito?" Sasuke asked coldly, looking at Deidara in front of Obito. The smoke faded and the giant snake vanished.
"With just you? You're not worthy to be Brother Kirito's opponent." Deidara scoffed.
"So he's not here... then I'll change the question." Sasuke's three-tomoe Sharingan spun as he continued coldly, "Where is Uchiha Itachi?"
That gaze reminded Deidara of how Obito humiliated him back when he first joined Akatsuki. He felt that familiar frustration.
Sasuke seized the moment and drew his Kusanagi sword, slashing toward Deidara.
Deidara reacted immediately, but before he could dodge, a metallic clang echoed—Sasuke's blade was caught with one finger by Fujiwara Kirito, who appeared suddenly.
"Sorry, I was supposed to be the bait, but I didn't expect you to find me first." Kirito looked relaxed and glanced at Deidara. As for Obito, he didn't even spare him a glance.
"Tch." Knowing Kirito's strength, Deidara worried that he'd pull the same trick again and quickly retreated behind Suigetsu and Jūgo.
"Seriously, Senior Kirito, that was close just now. Itachi's brother's body flicker was really fast." Obito acted dramatic, patting his chest in relief.
Then he pretended to look around, and not seeing Pakura, quickly asked, "Oh right, where's Senior Pakura? Didn't she come with you?"
"I asked her to go buy wine and snacks. There's going to be an epic battle soon, and it wouldn't be right without a little celebration," Kirito lied casually. In truth, he sensed Chinatsu's chakra and sent Pakura to intercept her.
"Then just watch, Brother Kirito! See how I use my art to blow this Sasuke away, hm!" Deidara clenched his fist, feeling inspired.
"I'll be watching, but first, I want to see how much Sasuke has grown after gaining Orochimaru's power. You sit back for now." Kirito faced Sasuke, back to Deidara.
"I got it, but just saying—this Sasuke must be left to me." Deidara respected Kirito deeply. He nodded and withdrew with Obito to a tree.
A battle between father and stepson was about to begin.
