"What's going on, Athena? What are we doing here?"
The dirty space behind the large broken dusty cupboard where they were currently crouching, hiding, was very uncomfortable for Ewan, but it was Athena, and so it was okay.
However, he needed to know what he was risking his health for. His voice was hushed, though his eyes were sharp with curiosity.
"Why are we hiding?" he continued the barrage of questions gently, shifting against the cramped space, noting the sweat that had overtaken him too.
There was no ventilation where they were, and he knew he would get dizzy, his legs getting cramped, if they didn't get out of this space soon.
Athena's response was to place a finger against her lips, signaling for silence, her gaze on the entrance firm. But Ewan refused to be silenced.
