"Sylvia, you can't be serious," Aiden said, closing the distance between them.
"Do you think I'm joking?" Sylvia shot back, her eyes blazing. "The pain Tsar caused… it won't disappear unless he's dead. And who knows, he could come after me next. He deliberately targeted Lucius's mother. Think about that."
Aiden's jaw tightened as he absorbed her words. He nodded slowly, acknowledging the danger she meant.
"So… are you going to give me a gun, or not?" Sylvia pressed, almost daring him.
"Absolutely not, Sylvia," Aiden replied firmly, taking a step closer. "I won't let your hands be stained with blood. Your brother wouldn't want that for you either." His hands gently rested on her shoulders.
"We'll catch him before he can target another innocent," Aiden said firmly.
Sylvia's gaze softened slightly, worry still lingering in her eyes. "And what about Layla? Is she alright? Being pregnant and having all these troubles thrown her way… it can't be easy."
