After checking the information on the app, Liam walked back with a light step, a confident smile full of desire playing on his lips.
He handed the ice cream to Vanessa, who accepted it with a shy glimmer in her eyes.
"Here you are, madame. The coldest one I could find," he joked, arching an eyebrow.
Vanessa let out a nervous but sweet giggle. "Thank you… I guess I really needed it."
She brought the ice cream to her mouth, still trying to calm down. She knew she should be able to act normally, but she was just too nervous.
I must look like a complete idiot to him... she thought, looking down at the sand.
For a moment, the conversation died, and an uncomfortable silence began to form between them. Before it could become a problem, Liam started making small talk. Slowly, Vanessa began to relax, at least a little.
