(In the dark room).
Overhaul: ...
He hears whispering in the background, he looks down at the book, dismissing the possibility that his conversation with Dabi was real, attributing it to the illusions he's been experiencing lately. He takes some pills to silence the whispers, but deep down, he wonders if the conversation was just a product of his own mind.
He looks down slightly, only to find that the book has disappeared, leaving him wondering if he imagined it too, a possibility exacerbated by the pills' side effects, which include memory loss.
Overhaul: This isn't real...
He mumbles to himself, but his attention is diverted by the sound of footsteps approaching from behind, and he turns to see Dabi, whose face is etched with concern for him.
Dabi: Overhaul it's time to go.
He looks at him with concern, noticing that Overhaul is clutching the pills tightly.
Overhaul: We should've just went a long time ago.
He passes Dabi, he speaks softly, his voice devoid of emotion.
Dabi: ...
He remains silent, allowing Overhaul to pass him.
Dabi as the narrator: After investigating the cabin, an uncomfortable silence fell over us, and no one spoke a word to each other for the entire trip back. It was unsettling. Overhaul doesn't seem to remember anything from what happen. Shigaraki didn't want to say anything which it was strange to me.
(Two hours later).
(In Dabi's Dorm).
He lies down on the bed, recalling the conversation he had with his other self.
(Flashback).
Dabi: Listen to me, there are cult members, and they have this book. They're after Overhaul. These cult members want to use Overhaul for evil. I have the power to give you the power to stop the book if you use it right.
(End of Flashback).
He recalls the image of the man wearing a goat mask standing directly in front of the camera, and wonders whether Overhaul has already been contacted by the book or not.
(In his mind).
"If what the other me said it was true then I guess I have to watch over Overhaul for now on but what kind of power did he gave me?"
(Out of his mind).
He checks his text messages, only to find that no one has messaged him, not even the usually talkative Shigaraki, which he finds strange.
(At Overhaul's Dorm Room).
He bangs his head against the mirror after the whispers in his head grow louder, becoming unbearable even after he takes the pills.
Overhaul: SHUT UP! LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!!
He yells out loud and bangs his head even harder, causing it to start bleeding from a cut inflicted by the glass. As he continued to stare at the floor, he heard a knock at the door, but he didn't bother to answer it, and then he heard a voice that sounded vaguely familiar.
(Outside of Overhaul's Dorm Room).
Toga: Is everything alright in there? I heard screaming and wanted to check in.
She tried to listen in, but all she could make out was whispering that suggested there was more than one person inside.
Lady Nagant: I heard yelling and it sounded like Overhaul, so I'm assuming he skipped his medication.
She walks up to Toga, she hears the door opening, and the two girls instinctively step back, maintaining a safe distance.
Overhaul: What do you want?
He gazes at them with a hollow expression, wondering what they want.
Both Lady Nagant and Toga stared at the wound on Overhaul's forehead in unison, both of them frightened by the severe bleeding.
Lady Nagant: Is everything all right with you? I mean you're bleeding...
She wonders if he has taken his medicine yet.
Overhaul: I'm fine...
He closes the door, locks it, and covers his face, overcome with the feeling of being constantly watched, his eyes welling up slightly as he removes the glass from his forehead.
He overhears Lady Nagant and Toga conversing with each other before they walk away.
Overhaul: Everything is fine... Everything is fine...
He repeatedly says it to himself, trying to reassure his own doubts.
(At Shigaraki's Dorm Room).
He reads books about cults, particularly searching for information on the Goat Cult, to determine if they are the ones appearing in the photos. He keeps the pictures he took, wanting to learn more about the cult. Although he tries to use the photos to find Goat Cult members, his search yields nothing.
Shigaraki: There's nothing here.
He recalls wearing the goat mask, but isn't sure if it was real or just his imagination, and either way, he has no intention of returning to the cabin. As he stands there, he hears a knock at the door, followed by the voices of Toga and Lady Nagant. He walks over to the door and opens it.
Shigaraki: Hey.
He looks at them wondering what they want.
Lady Nagant: There's something wrong with Overhaul I think he's not taking his medication and well he hurt himself. Can you please check up on him.
She looks at him, hoping he'll comply with her request, even though she'd prefer to do it herself, but doubts he'll listen.
Shigaraki: Sure I guess.
He walks out the door and heads straight for Overhaul's dorm room, pausing briefly to listen to the whispering coming from inside, wondering if there's more than one person in there, and recalling the cult members from the picture.
(In his mind).
"Fuck why am hesitating?"
(Out of his mind).
He forced himself to knocks on the door quickly.
Shigaraki: Overhaul everything okay in there?
He asked, wondering if he's doing okay, but in the blink of an eye, the whole scenery had changed to a towering, twisted tree as black as the darkness that seemed to be closing in around him. In the blink of an eye, everything returned to normal once Overhaul opened the door.
Overhaul: Shigaraki is everything okay?
He looks at him calmly, yet notices the scared expression on his face.
Shigaraki: Just checking in.
He looks at Overhaul and notices that Overhaul appears to be fine, with no wounds in sight.
Overhaul: If you're wondering about the project report. I'm already done with it.
He looks at him calmly, but in the blink of an eye, Shigaraki transforms into the man in the goat mask, startling him and sending him tumbling to the floor, trembling with fear.
Shigaraki: Overhaul are you okay?
He reaches out to him, but then overhears Lady Nagant's voice telling him something.
Lady Nagant: Remind him to take his medication. It's clear that he hasn't taken it yet.
She looks at him, wondering why he didn't just tell him already.
Shigaraki: Overhaul you're hallucinating again, take your medication.
He looks at him and reaches out to help him stand up at least.
Overhaul: E-e-everything is f-f-fine... E-e-everything is f-f-fine... He-he-he's not r-r-real he's not r-r-real.
He trembles with fear as he takes more pills, hoping they will work, and looks at Shigaraki, seeing him rather than the man in the goat mask.
(In his mind).
"Why do I keep seeing people in goat masks is like they're following me."
(Out of his mind).
Shigaraki: Everything is fine.
He mutters to himself, wondering what just happened and whether what they saw in the cabin is now following them.
