Rita's lantern floated over and absorbed the strand of blue flame into itself. She waited.
Not for Extra Chapter Rita to run out of time and disappear. She never relied on something that uncertain. If she could lock soul fire to permanently store a timeline, who's to say QM Rita couldn't do the same and keep Extra Chapter Rita alive until death?
Her gaze swept across the battlefield again and again.
QM Rita asked, "What are you looking for?"
Extra Chapter Rita replied, "Checking if anyone on our side has died. One of my Wildfire Reignite phase two conditions is that three allies die. Once that happens, I can burst."
Feeling the faint resentment from more than a dozen gazes around her, and even the attention drifting down from the gods above, Rita felt a headache coming.
