After my little drama in the bathtub, Duke helped me out as my legs had completely fallen asleep. He wrapped a thick white robe around me and carried me out of the bathroom bridal style.
Turns out sitting in a tub of cold water for a very long time was a very stupid idea. As soon as I was out of the water I began to tremble vehemently as my entire body was freezing.
I was now feeling the cold deep inside my bones.
Still in his arms, Duke carries me down the stairs, to the living room because it has the biggest fireplace in the house. He sets me down on a couch and hurriedly runs back up to bring some thick blankets. He wraps me up like a burrito before going on to light up the fire in the hearth.
Silently, I watch as he does everything, going back and forth frantically, trying to make sure I'm comfortable and that I don't freeze to death. After successfully lighting up the fire, he walks up to me, walks around the couch and pushes it from behind with me still sitting in it.
