Yue Ning walked to the dining room with a red face. She could still recall what happened earlier, and she wondered how she could face Huo Feng with a straight face.
"Sister-in-law, you are finally here."
Huo Yan's voice snapped her out of her thoughts, and she gave the former a forced smile to which she didn't notice.
"Have a seat. You didn't have dinner yesterday, you must be starving," Huo Yan commented, gesturing for Yue Ning to take a seat beside her.
She happily did so. Since she arrived at the dining room, she hadn't looked at Huo Feng who had his attention on his meal. She didn't know how to face him.
Yue Ning turned her attention to the table, and her brows furrowed. "Who made all these?" She queried.
"The maids. You see, brother noticed that you didn't have anything to eat last night, and he knew you'd be so tired to cook this morning."
"So he asked some trustworthy maids from the old mansion to help out. They'll be staying with us now."
