"So this is Dragon Valley, huh..."
Floating in midair while holding the Sacred Sword Severian, Charlie stared expressionlessly toward the phenomenon of a giant tornado spinning fiercely in the distance.
The location where he was currently positioned was known as Dragon Valley.
It was there that the greatest enemy of the Lower World, the One Eyed Black Dragon, was imprisoned and isolated by a giant storm typhoon that never ceased raging.
Based on the old documentation archives of the Hera Familia, Charlie knew that the barrier storm in Dragon Valley was no ordinary natural phenomenon, but rather an ancient seal created directly by the Great Wind Spirit, Aria.
The distance between Orario City and Dragon Valley spanned extremely far, stretching from the western end of the continent to the northernmost point.
Geographically, Orario stood firmly in the western region, whereas Dragon Valley perched on the cold northern tip.
On a normal expedition, a journey from Orario to the northern border—specifically to the Great Defensive Wall before entering the region of Dragon Valley—required about several weeks to a full month for ordinary humans.
For First-Class Adventurers equipped with extraordinary agility stats, that travel time could be drastically cut down to around 3 to 5 days if moving constantly without stopping.
Meanwhile for Charlie, cutting across that continental distance required only a single second via causality teleportation.
"Truly an astonishing wall. Its scale is even comparable to the Great Wall of China. Don't you think so, Est?"
Charlie's gaze swept over the Great Defensive Wall that stretched vast as far as the eye could see.
That transcontinental giant wall had been built 900 years ago, functioning as a final fortress to contain and prevent flocks of dragon swarms from descending to terrorize the southern regions.
After all, the wind seal crafted by Aria was not entirely perfect. The Black Dragon indeed remained idle inside the valley to recover from its past injuries, but several smaller sub-species of dragon monsters and wyverns were sometimes still capable of slipping through the cracks of that tornado storm.
"I do not know the Great Wall of China that Onii-chan refers to. But in my home world, there was no wall that long." Est replied directly inside Charlie's mind. Her voice was flat and devoid of emotion, clearly unimpressed in the slightest.
Charlie chuckled softly. "I'm worried that as soon as I open this seal, the people on that fortress will surely panic all of a sudden, right?"
The people he referred to were thousands of combined troops from various local kingdoms and northern regional alliances deployed along the Great Defensive Wall.
Their primary duty was no laughing matter: standing as the vanguard to eradicate every sub-species of dragon or wyvern that managed to break through the wind fortress of Dragon Valley.
"Oh well. There is no point in worrying about them. I just need to defeat this Black Dragon before Leon arrives here." Charlie murmured softly. "Even though I am not afraid of Leon at all, I want to remain anonymous. Let the identity of the figure who succeeds in defeating the Black Dragon remain an unsolved mystery to this world."
Through his Senrigan vision, Charlie could see the figure of a man possessing an extraordinary level of strength—a power standing at the exact same level as Ottar, the strongest adventurer in Orario at present.
Leon Vardenburg.
That man was the Headmaster of the Education District.
He was dubbed the Knight of Knights and rumored to be the sole hero outside Orario whose strength was widely recognized as capable of matching Ottar.
"Mm... It seems I was still underestimating the technological development in this world." Charlie murmured softly while observing the fleet where Leon was located. "It is true that technology for civilian facilities here is severely lagging behind and feels like trash, but their military technology turns out not to lag too far behind when compared to modern Earth."
The Education District he saw was a giant-scale mobile educational faction taking the form of a floating city atop rows of super-sized ships.
These flagship carriers were equipped with high-tier long-range magic cannons as well as thick magic barrier layers capable of withstanding the assault of large-scale sea monsters or the onslaught of conventional military fleets.
Shifting his gaze away from Leon, Charlie began floating closer toward the giant tornado vortex whose scale was far more devastating than any EF5 storm.
Let alone ordinary mortals, even Second-Class Adventurers would undoubtedly be severely injured merely by being near its radius. Only First-Class Adventurers with the sturdiest equipment could survive close to that raging wind.
However, Charlie was not wearing any physical armor at the moment, save for the conceptual protection residing within his body—Armor of Fafnir.
"It is time to fulfill the role of a true Dragon Slayer. Are you ready, Est?"
"I am your sword. Use me as you wish, Onii-chan." Est answered in a firm tone without hesitation.
"All right. Let us begin."
*BUZZ!*
Instantly, Charlie's body radiated a sacred divine aura.
His dark red pupils emanated a faint yet pressure-laden glow—a mark of a Transcendent existence!
Without wasting time, Charlie activated the Divine Authority of the Dragon King—Annihilation.

At the exact same time, far above the main airship belonging to the Education District, the Main God of the Baldr Familia, Goddess Baldr, suddenly halted her steps.
Her facial expression turned drastically to one of shock and astonishment upon sensing a tremendous Arcanum aura to the north.
"W-What is this pressure...?! Which god dares to recklessly use Arcanum in the Lower World?!" Baldr panicked. "Are they not afraid of being forced back to Heaven?! And the direction of this divinity... Dragon Valley?!"
Baldr's pupils widened suddenly as a terrifying thought crossed her head.
"Don't tell me... has an Evil God grown bored of playing in the Lower World, so before being returned to Heaven, they intend to destroy the storm seal holding the Black Dragon to plunge the entire world into chaos?!"
Imagining the worst-case scenario that could destroy civilization, Baldr wasted no time and immediately rushed to find Leon's whereabouts to report this terrifying threat as quickly as possible.
