Chapter 76 - Chapter 076: Uncle Will Teach You How to Tame Tailed Beasts

"If you want to learn, I can teach you."

Namikaze Mirai's tone was casual, but calm confidence lingered in his words like a steady flame.

Tsunade blinked in slight surprise, then arched an eyebrow skeptically.

"But I can't guarantee whether you'll be able to learn it or not." he added.

Electromagnetism was not a learned ninjutsu like Medical Palm or the Strength of a Hundred Seal. It was the power of his cheat, a natural evolution of his powers that allowed him to manipulate magnetic fields at a nearly divine level. Others might replicate fragments of its effect through equipment or special seals, but the true core—its precision, its intuition—was something born of Mirai himself.

As for magnetic field therapy... yes, with advanced technology, one could attempt something similar. But the results?

Mediocre.

"Tsunade-sama, are you okay?"

Shizune rushed in, eyes wide with concern. The brief silence had unsettled her, and the idea of leaving her mentor alone with someone as mysterious and bold as Namikaze Mirai made her nervous.

Tsunade stretched lazily on the bed, her joints cracking pop pop with audible satisfaction.

"I've never felt such comfort in my life."

She sighed and rubbed the back of her neck, her usual tension melted away. For the first time in years, her mind was still, and her breath flowed without catching.

"Right now, I just want to have a long, uninterrupted sleep."

Shizune blinked.

"Eh?"

Her gaze darted between Tsunade and Mirai. No chakra fluctuations, no medical tags, no visible techniques—and yet her master looked like she'd just taken a full-body soak in a hot spring laced with camphor oil.

Tsunade sat up, glanced at Mirai, and smiled.

All of the previous suspicion in her eyes had vanished.

"If you keep this up, I feel like I'll be cured after just a few more treatments."

A miracle worker. That's what he was beginning to resemble.

Even a terminal psychological ailment like hemophobia—something she herself couldn't overcome—was beginning to loosen under his hand.

"In that case, I'll return tomorrow for another treatment."

Mirai nodded slightly, making the decision without hesitation.

Tsunade looked... hopeful.

She hadn't felt that way in years.

At the Konoha Camp Headquarters.

Inside the dim war tent, a heavy silence cloaked the large table where the key strategists sat.

Yamanaka Inoichi, seated at the head, adjusted his headband and looked across the room with a solemn expression.

"Since the last skirmish, Kumogakure's front lines haven't moved. Our scouts haven't picked up any further advances or deployments. It's too quiet."

Unease rippled through the room like a cold wind.

Quiet was rarely good on the battlefield. In fact, it usually meant something was brewing. Something far worse than direct confrontation.

Everyone knew what Kumogakure was capable of.

They had not one, but two Perfect Jinchūriki—killer weapons with chakra monstrous enough to flatten entire platoons. And in the last battle, only Mirai's sudden, godlike intervention had stopped a Tailed Beast Bomb from annihilating a major Konoha unit.

One man had reversed the tide of war.

But...

There was still only one of him.

"What do we do when two tailed beasts attack simultaneously?"

A Jōnin clenched his fist.

"If we had our own Jinchūriki... we wouldn't be forced into this corner."

Silence.

The temperature in the tent dropped instantly.

Nervous glances flicked toward the tall figure seated near the center.

Golden hair, cold blue eyes, a blade strapped to his waist like a reminder of death itself.

Namikaze Mirai.

The Blue Flash.

And more importantly, the uncle of the current Nine-Tails Jinchūriki.

The Jōnin who had spoken realized too late what he had said.

His face went pale.

'I just asked why we don't use our Jinchūriki... and he's right there!'

Mirai's gaze didn't shift.

He didn't raise a hand.

He didn't even speak.

But the silence was deafening.

The Jōnin stammered.

"S-sorry! I didn't mean to... it wasn't directed at... I mean..."

The panic showed on his face. His words became incoherent, and sweat ran down his temple.

Nobody moved.

Even the Uchiha clan head, Fugaku, kept quiet. The other Elite-Jōnin around the table avoided eye contact. Mirai's temper, especially when it involved Naruto, was notorious.

The only sound in the room was the tense drip drip of water outside the tent.

And then—

"Heh."

A chuckle.

"Jinchūriki? Leave that to me."

The words came from Mirai, but they cut through the tension like a blade.

The Jōnin nearly collapsed in relief.

'He let it go… thank the Sage of Six Paths!'

Inoichi cleared his throat and picked up the thread.

"With Mirai-sama leading the charge, we don't need to worry. If anyone can keep those tailed beasts at bay, it's him."

The table erupted in scattered applause and hurried nods.

"The Blue Flash... he alone can dominate the battlefield!"

Meanwhile, in the Camp's Quiet Section.

The rain had finally stopped, leaving behind a haze that clung to the grass outside.

Mirai pushed open the door of his tent and found Naruto curled up near the window, arms wrapped around his knees.

The boy's usual cheerfulness was gone.

"Uncle... am I useless?"

The question came out of nowhere.

Tears shimmered in Naruto's blue eyes, and his small voice trembled with self-loathing.

"Why would you say that?"

Mirai sat down and gently brushed his nephew's hair back.

"If I could control the big fox in my belly, no one would have to get hurt..."

He placed a hand on his stomach, his small fingers trembling.

Whispers had begun circulating through the camp.

Whispers of the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki.

Of Naruto.

'If we had a Jinchūriki who could fight... the battle wouldn't be so hopeless.'

The words had reached him. Slowly. Painfully.

"Naruto, you don't need that fox to win this war. I will protect this village with or without its help."

"Really?"

The hope in Naruto's voice was fragile, but it flickered like a candle.

Mirai ruffled his hair and smiled faintly.

"Really. But tell me... would you like to learn how to control the tailed beasts?"

Naruto's eyes widened.

"You mean... it?"

Mirai nodded.

"We'll do it together."

His voice dropped, eyes narrowing slightly as if his words were not only meant for Naruto—but for the one listening deep within.

Inside the seal, the Nine-Tails stirred.

*Thrum*

Its massive chakra shifted uneasily.

'He's serious again.'

Kurama's fur bristled.

Memories of being forcibly slammed against the seal by Mirai's electromagnetic powers came rushing back. A humiliation it hadn't forgotten.

'He's going to do it again, isn't he?'

Kurama had a sudden, chilling premonition. Something worse than pain.

It was obedience.

Absolute obedience.

'Those two tailed beasts in Kumogakure... they have no idea what's coming.'

Kurama shuddered.

In the depths of his mind, Mirai smiled faintly.

He had already seen the future of this battlefield.

And now, it was time to tame the beasts to bring that into fruition.
