Chapter 712 - Chapter 710: Fools

While Firefly was enjoying herself, Pei Guang checked their position.

Once he judged it was right, he looked toward her.

"Now, we're breaking free of their chase~"

"Is it over?"

Her voice carried a little regret, but then she turned to Pei Guang with excitement. "What do I do next?"

Pei Guang: "Next? Hold onto me, I'll take you out of here~"

Hearing him, Firefly reached to grab his clothes. But just as her hand was about to touch Pei Guang, the car was struck by enemy fire because he got distracted.

The attack jolted Firefly, making her stumble and accidentally place her hand directly on the back of his.

"!!"

She froze for a moment, instinctively wanting to pull her hand back—but Pei Guang didn't care where she was touching. As long as they were in contact, he immediately teleported them both back to the Studios Theme Park.

The two of them vanished in an instant.

The Bloodhounds chasing them were dumbfounded. Did they exit the dream, or escape using some special method?

The hunters were left in confusion.

On the streets of the Studios Theme Park, Firefly's eyes widened at the sudden change in scenery. The abrupt switch made her tense up, and unconsciously her grip tightened.

That little squeeze turned her touch from resting on the back of Pei Guang's hand into actually holding his hand.

Firefly widened her eyes and looked at him.

Feeling her gaze, Pei Guang glanced down, then said, "What, do you want to touch something else too?"

She quickly let go, embarrassed. "Um… sorry…"

Pei Guang: "It's fine, I forgive you. Just remember, next time if you want to touch me, tell me directly. No sneaking around. With a beautiful girl like you I'd be more than happy to let you~"

Firefly felt something about his righteous tone was very off, but Pei Guang didn't give her time to dwell on it.

He led the way into the Studios Theme Park. "Come on~ let's head in. My ticket time is running short~"

Firefly nodded and followed, but because of what had just happened, she couldn't help glancing at his right hand.

Looking at it, countless thoughts stirred inside her.

"So this is what holding hands feels like?"

"Will he think I'm… weird?"

"What am I even thinking???"

The more she thought, the more flustered she felt.

Meanwhile, Pei Guang noticed something strange: on the minimap, a temporary enemy marker had suddenly appeared—one that hadn't been there before.

That piqued his interest.

While Firefly was lost in her own thoughts, Pei Guang had already led her to the entrance of the Studios Theme Park.

The ticket inspector, after checking their two-person pass, gave them a wary look.

"Wishing the two of you a pleasant time. But just a friendly reminder: the Studios Theme Park is under full surveillance. Please refrain from doing anything inappropriate inside. If your own actions cause your privacy to be exposed, we won't be responsible."

Hearing the warning, Pei Guang couldn't help sighing.

In reality, people did mess around in movie theaters… and now even in the dream world, people still did?

As they stepped inside, Firefly suddenly noticed something. She hesitated about whether to tell him, but Pei Guang spoke first.

"Looks like we've been marked~"

Firefly: "You noticed?"

Pei Guang, standing next to Firefly, nodded: "I put temporary markers on all the enemies we encountered along the way. When we arrived here, there wasn't a single person around, but just now, suddenly someone appeared at the Studios Theme Park's perimeter and has been maintaining the same distance from us."

Firefly: "Then… what do we do?"

Pei Guang: "Simple! Whoever it is, if I've marked them, that makes them an enemy. Heh! We've already entered a new instance, and they're still so persistent about causing trouble for us. We have to show them what we're made of."

Pei Guang started making preparations.

He didn't know who it was, but whoever followed him this far could only be captured to prevent interference.

He pulled out a white plastic chair and set it down on the ground, then took out some bananas, eating them while tossing the peels aside.

Seeing what he was doing, Firefly, who was already familiar with this routine, helped out by eating the bananas and tossing more peels all over the place.

But watching this, Firefly asked in confusion: "Does this really work? Are you trying to make someone slip on the peels while walking toward that chair?"

Pei Guang nodded: "You guessed right. Don't worry! Whoever comes won't be able to resist the chair's temptation. They'll want to sit on it. But before they get there, the banana peels will teach them a lesson."

Originally, Pei Guang wanted to use the classic coffee set, but seeing how much fun Firefly had tossing banana peels earlier, he decided to use banana peels and the irresistibly inviting chair to set up a simple trap.

The trap might be simple, but it had its own flair.

Pei Guang figured that unless it was a boss unit, no one could avoid it.

Of course, even if they did avoid it, that was fine: he had a backup plan. But before resorting to that, he wanted to try this out first.

He was curious if the person following him would slip and fall hard on the peels.

Meanwhile, not far away, the girl known as Sparkle, disguised as Sampo, was walking over.

She had been following Pei Guang and Firefly, and when the two of them used teleportation to return here, she used her own method to instantly come back as well, keeping close behind Pei Guang.

When she saw Pei Guang and Firefly enter the Studios Theme Park, she disguised herself as Sampo, planning to "accidentally" run into them.

Because she had been outside the whole time, she hadn't seen the live broadcast at the Tavern, so most of her information came from Sampo himself.

Sampo might seem frivolous on the surface, but in truth, he was very reliable.

According to Sampo's description, he was the Trailblazer's best friend, held in the highest regard, and every time he met the Trailblazer, he would be treated to extremely rare drinks.

Other Masked Fools also confirmed this information.

Although they loved to watch chaos unfold, the Masked Fools had one advantage: they basically never lied.

Because of this, this time Sparkle planned to disguise herself as Sampo, get close to Pei Guang, and play some interesting tricks.

The earlier chase between the Bloodhounds and the Trailblazer had already entertained Sparkle to no end. Now, she was going to step onto the stage herself, in Sampo's guise, to create even more fun.

Her plan sounded wonderful—but reality was harsh.

Because the moment she entered the Studios Theme Park and prepared to mess with Pei Guang and Firefly, her eyes were instantly drawn to a white plastic chair.

Her gaze was fixed entirely on the chair.

She didn't notice the banana peels scattered across the ground, nor did she see the fresh one Pei Guang had just tossed casually from a nearby trash can.
