Alley cross-checked the information in the Reverie Hotel system.
Seeing that everything matched, she was left speechless.
According to the rules, if a person without legal capacity checked in, they could indeed stay together with their guardian and even enter dreams with them.
Alley's expression twisted. As a hotel clerk she had received countless guests, but she had never encountered one like Pei Guang.
Watching Alley's conflicted look as she still refused to yield, Pei Guang pulled out a photo. It was a picture of himself, Stelle, and Robin together.
In the photo, Robin wore a blissful expression, holding a wineglass full of sweet and sour pork immersed in red wine.
Showing Alley the photo, Pei Guang continued: "By the way, we weren't only invited here by the Family, we also came at Miss Robin's invitation, to sightsee and enjoy her performance at this festival. We're not asking for any special privilege.
All we need is to follow the rules: me, as her guardian, bringing along a one-month-old minor without legal capacity to stay in the hotel. Just treat me as Dan Heng. If anything happens, it's only because I concealed my identity, and it has nothing to do with you.
Don't rush to answer, we'll wait over there. Arguing with you here will only spoil the other guests' experience. During that time, you can talk to your manager or do whatever you like. As long as you resolve our problem within an hour, or find someone who can, it's fine.
If you can't solve it, that proves Penacony doesn't welcome us Trailblazers. And if that's the case, we'll just leave~ I wonder what expression you all will have when we walk away."
Pei Guang remembered Robin and Acheron had told him that memories from inside the dream would not remain afterwards. Robin had also said that if he managed to get hold of a photo, he could do whatever he liked with it.
So this was one of the ways he chose to use it.
Faced with Pei Guang's sharp pressure, Himeko and Welt both smiled as they looked at Alley.
Himeko had to admit: when it came to the art of threatening people, Pei Guang was absolutely number one among the Trailblazers.
Because Pei Guang not only had the words, he also had real evidence to back them up.
Before Alley could even respond, and before Pei Guang could continue, a gloved hand suddenly snatched the photo from his hand.
"I didn't expect we would meet here." Robin trembled as she looked at her own image in the photo.
She had indeed forgotten much of her dream experience, though she vaguely remembered taking a group photo, and remembered that person giving her a trash can.
But she had never expected to meet that same person so soon after waking, let alone that he could actually bring a photo out of the dream into reality!
Glancing at the photo, Robin felt numb all over.
What on earth had she done in the dream to leave behind such an embarrassing picture?
Just as Robin was struggling for words, her brother Sunday leaned in to look at the photo as well: "This picture is quite interesting, isn't it?"
"Brother!"
Robin gave Sunday a reproachful look, then turned her eyes to Pei Guang: "Members of the Astral Express, please come this way and rest for a while. My brother will handle your accommodations."
Sunday nodded: "Go, sister. I'll take care of things for you and your friends."
Hearing Robin's strange tone and Sunday's clear intentions, Himeko and Welt's expressions grew serious. Robin simply nodded and led everyone over to the lounge area.
But seeing Pei Guang there, Himeko secretly breathed a little sigh of relief.
She knew how unusual Pei Guang was. With him present, things might not be absolutely foolproof, but at least they had the right to act on their own will in Penacony.
Once they reached the lounge, Robin looked at Pei Guang: "I didn't expect you could really bring something from a dream into reality…"
Before Pei Guang could reply, Stelle spoke up proudly: "Of course! Don't you know who Ah Guang is? He's our amazing Ah Guang, the one who can make the impossible possible!"
Pei Guang: "Keep it low-key bro! Low-key!"
Stelle: "Nuh uh! High-key!"
Watching the two of them playing off each other, Robin felt a sense of familiarity.
She could only recall fragments of her dream, but those fragments told her that both Pei Guang and Stelle were very interesting people—and that being with them gave her a strangely comforting sense of security.
At this moment, Welt asked Robin: "Are you, like that gentleman, also a member of the Family in Penacony?"
Robin: "To tell you the truth, I'm just a guest, same as you. Penacony is my homeland, but I left after I grew up. This time, I was fortunate enough to be invited back to sing a piece at the Harmony Festival.
My elder brother is one of the local leaders of Penacony, as well as the host of this Harmony Festival. When he heard you had encountered trouble, he brought me along to offer assistance."
It was expected that the Trailblazers would run into obstacles.
What hadn't been expected was that among them there would be Pei Guang. And even more unexpected, that Pei Guang could bring things out of a dream.
It was one thing for him to take things out himself, but the fact that he could even let others bring out objects from him within the dream made Robin pay closer attention to him.
Pei Guang wasn't a Memokeeper, and outwardly he seemed to have no ties to the Remembrance faction at all. Yet he could turn dream-stuff into reality: something even ordinary Memokeepers could not necessarily do.
As for what other abilities Pei Guang had, she knew nothing.
In this universe, the number of people and factions with the ability, and the right, to know anything about Pei Guang was vanishingly small.
On top of that, his appearance in the world was far too recent, leaving the Family with no way to gather any concrete information about him.
Still, they were aware of a few of the things he had done recently on the Space Station and on the Xianzhou.
Originally, the plan had been to let the Trailblazers struggle a little longer before stepping in, and then use Robin as a way to win them over. But once they saw that there was someone in the line of guests who demanded special attention, and after hearing Pei Guang's words, her brother had chosen to act first.
He wanted to intercept Pei Guang first before the guy of the Company took action.
Of course, all of the above was only the least important reason for approaching Pei Guang early.
The real reason was…
Before coming here:
"Brother, you should come inside too~ This trash can is really amazing."
"Brother! Inside this trash can, I can feel a familiar power. The power of Harmony… it's so reassuring."
"Brother! Isn't the trash can comfortable?"
"Brother! This was a gift from a friend. I can only lend it to you but I can't give it to you."
"My brother is incredible… you actually dared to climb inside a trash can."
"Brother, you wouldn't want outsiders to find out you went inside a trash can, would you?"
That's just how it is with people: learning good things takes effort, but picking up bad habits happens in the blink of an eye…
