Chapter 690 - Chapter 689: Players are True Connoisseurs

Stelle copied him and looked too, and, at that moment, a light appeared in her eyes.

"This angle… her legs look even fairer."

Pei Guang: "Right? Look at her whole outfit, it brings out the beauty of asymmetry to the fullest. If she had black stockings on these legs, the absolute territory it would form… I'd give full marks!"

Stelle smirked: "Oh? So you're into that kind of thing?"

Pei Guang: "Don't get me wrong, I'm just plain lustful. Anything beautiful, I like."

The two of them were going crazy in front of Robin's projection, while Robin herself had very mixed feelings watching.

If Pei Guang and Stelle were just plain perverts, that would actually be better.

But the problem was: she herself was right here. Why were they staring at her projection instead?

This wasn't like going to an anime expo and only photographing the figurines instead of the cosplayers.

No, this was like meeting the actual character from an anime but still only taking pictures of the figurines!

Seeing their antics, Robin took a deep breath. She walked over to Pei Guang's side, just about to say something—when Pei Guang spoke first.

"Ah? Perfect timing, you're here! Come, look! At this angle, it's flawless!"

Stelle: "Exactly, exactly! Look at that melancholy gaze, it expresses her inner feelings so vividly. But why are her shoelaces tied like that?"

Pei Guang seriously analyzed Robin's projection's feet: "There must be a reason for it. And NPCs in this game all seem to love asymmetry. Not just her, look at Acheron! One shoe, or is that a sock, is longer than the other too!"

Hearing their chatter, Robin carefully interjected: "Um…"

Stelle: "Hey, what if we look from above? What scenery would we see then?"

Pei Guang: "No idea. But I bet we'd definitely see the beauty of ambiguity~ It's seamless perfection. No matter the angle, nothing looks out of place. Perfect! Absolutely perfect."

Alright, now it wasn't just photographing figurines instead of the person: they were dragging the actual person along to look at the figurine together!

Pei Guang and Stelle stood up and looked down from above.

From this angle, Stelle couldn't help but muse aloud: "I have a question. How does her gown even stay on? March's gown has ribbons tying it in place, but hers has a smooth open back. Isn't she afraid it'll slip off if she moves?"

Pei Guang analyzed seriously: "Logically there should be a transparent strap, but she clearly doesn't have one. So just treat it as a feature. Game mechanics can be mysterious, right? If we go by this world's logic, it's high-tech! The power of the Paths! If it's not supposed to slip, then it never will. Or maybe it's Harmony? Who cares, as long as it looks good."

Stelle: "You're right. She's so beautiful~"

Hearing Pei Guang and Stelle's evaluation, Robin's face was already completely red. Being forced to listen to people commenting on her memory projection in front of her… this wasn't something ordinary people could endure.

But Robin also took the chance to carefully look at herself.

Gazing at her own memory projection, Robin couldn't help but whisper: "I really am beautiful…"

Pei Guang pulled out a camera: "Right? Right? How can we not record such a wonderful scene?"

Stelle: "Oh? Is that okay? If it is, I want to try something unique."

Pei Guang: "Unique? That's tricky… we can't change her pose. If we could, then sure, it'd be fun. Eh? Wait! We have the real one here, let's use her!"

Since Stelle wanted something unique, of course Pei Guang went along.

He took out a wine glass from his storage space. Then he brought out a pan and some ingredients, and started cooking on the spot.

In just a few blinks, Pei Guang had whipped up a perfect sweet and sour pork dish. He picked out the three best slices, placed them into the wine glass, and handed the glass of sweet and sour pork dish to Robin.

Robin wanted to refuse, but the crystal-clear, fragrant slices tempted her into accepting it. Looking at the pork in the glass, she subconsciously shook it.

The three slices swayed gently inside as she shook it.

Watching the fragrant meat swaying in the cup, Robin felt like something in her brain had short-circuited.

But wait… wasn't this kind of glass supposed to hold drinks?

Robin looked at Pei Guang in confusion: "This kind of glass… isn't it supposed to be for drinks?"

Pei Guang: "Hm? True, this kind of glass only has class if it's filled with red wine…"

Pei Guang agreed with Robin's thought, so he pulled out a bottle of red wine and poured it into the glass filled with sweet and sour pork dish.

Watching the pork soaked in wine, Robin once again swirled the glass.

The red liquid mixed with the golden pork swayed in the cup, but at this moment, Robin felt as though it wasn't food that was being swirled: it was her brain.

While Robin was swirling, three more wine glasses appeared in Pei Guang's hand. This time they were filled with braised pork, spicy chicken, and fried rice.

Pei Guang kept the braised pork for himself and handed the spicy chicken and fried rice to Stelle and Acheron, who had been silently watching from the side.

Raising his own glass, Pei Guang spoke: "It's fate that we could meet here. For our bond—cheers!"

Stelle took the spicy chicken: "Cheers!"

Acheron and Robin, however, stared silently at the food in their glasses.

Especially Robin: being a superstar, she was well-versed in all kinds of etiquette, but this was truly the first time she'd experienced something like this.

Yet when she thought about how, upon waking, no one would remember this moment, Robin grew bolder. What she didn't know, though, was that soon many people would know about it: in fact, even her brother Sunday would see photos of this side of her.

Gracefully, Robin lifted her glass and offered it toward Pei Guang and Stelle: "Cheers~"

The moment she said it, Pei Guang snapped a photo, capturing the scene.

Not only Robin, but Stelle and Acheron were all recorded. Pei Guang even set up a tripod for a timed shot, taking a group photo of the four of them together.

In the photo, all four raised their glasses toward each other.

At a glance, it looked like a celebration of friendship—if not for the fact that the glasses contained a sweet and sour pork dish, braised pork, spicy chicken, and fried rice.

However…

Looking down at the sweet and sour pork dish in her glass, Robin's head buzzed while her body stirred with a daring impulse. Carefully, she lifted the glass to her nose and sniffed.

The aroma sparked her appetite.

She cautiously opened her mouth and took a small bite. The moment the meat touched her lips, her eyes widened.

Robin, holding a wine glass, was really eating some sweet and sour pork soaked in red wine!!!

Even Pei Guang couldn't help but record this beautiful CG with his camera. He believed in the memory-wiping mechanic, but that only applied to NPCs.

For players, the CGs they recorded would never disappear, unless the save file was wiped.

Pei Guang wasn't keeping this CG for himself.

It was for the next time he met Robin in reality: so he could show her.

He was very curious: when Robin, who had no memory of this, saw herself holding a wine glass and eating sweet and sour pork soaked in wine, what kind of expression would she make?

What? Lose favorability? Not a big deal!

At this point, nothing could stop Pei Guang's curiosity.
