Chapter 687 - Chapter 686: Favorability Farming? Nah, Chair Farming

Robin was stunned.

As a superstar, she had already witnessed the diversity of different species, but seeing such a completely abnormal guy with her own eyes today, even her brain felt like it had been scrambled.

But…

Looking at Pei Guang, Robin smiled. "You're quite interesting. Don't play around here anymore. I'll take you away from this place. Staying here too long isn't good for your body~"

Listening to Robin's words, Pei Guang picked up on something odd.

Robin looked beautiful and her voice was pleasant, but for some reason, he felt her tone sounded unnatural: something was off.

Robin noticed the change in his expression. She guessed that he had figured out something, but she just smiled and said nothing more.

Pei Guang quietly kept this clue in mind but didn't mention it.

Instead, he asked, "You said staying here isn't good for the body? Can you explain where exactly 'here' is? Tell me the setting."

Robin: "This is the boundary between reality and the realm of memory. Our thoughts just happened to appear in the same dream. This is the land of dreams' first greeting to you~ But don't worry, soon we'll wake up from this dream and forget what happened here."

In truth, Robin herself didn't know why she was pulled in, but she did understand the characteristics of this place.

Unlike the Dreamscape, what happens here is really just a dream.

Most people forget what they dreamed of after waking. A few remember part of it, but only partially.

That's why when Pei Guang joked about killing her earlier, she was curious but didn't press further—there was no point, since she wouldn't remember anyway.

Just as Pei Guang was about to ask more, a noise in the hallway made both him and Robin freeze.

Robin was puzzled. Were there really other people in this dream?

Pei Guang was shocked.

Don't tell him Stelle had found a rare treasure chest and opened it herself?

At that moment, Pei Guang lost interest in storylines and clues. Nothing was more important than making sure his teammate didn't get good loot without him.

Every gamer fears their friends won't pull drops, but at the same time, they don't really want their friends to get them either.

When a buddy pulls, it's always "full pity" and yet "no drops."

After hanging out with the others long enough, Pei Guang had become exactly like that. He immediately opened the door to see what kind of nonsense Stelle was up to.

Robin, curious as well, followed him out, only to be stunned by what she saw.

A gray-haired girl was pressing her torso against the wall, limbs stretched into the air, spiraling through the corridor—floor, wall, ceiling, wall, floor again.

This scene looked familiar… wasn't this exactly the move Pei Guang had just done?

"!!!"

Faced with two completely incomprehensible, sanity-breaking weirdos, Robin was terrified.

This fear went deeper than stage fright, deeper even than the thought of losing her voice or being truly killed.

In the real world, meeting two people who could do something not even the Masked Fools could manage… that was genuinely terrifying.

Spotting people coming out of the room, Stelle's eyes lit up mid-madness. She spun into the doorway and waved excitedly at Pei Guang.

"Ah Guang! You're here too! Didn't expect we'd run into each other again. But listen, I'm luckier than you, I met a really pretty big sister~"

Pei Guang: "I've got one too! Mine's the universe's number one idol!"

Stelle: "The big sister I met has such a long blade, she could cut the two of us down with a single swing~"

At those words, Acheron, who had followed along, froze. She couldn't tell whether Stelle was praising or insulting her.

But one thing she had to admit: Stelle could really pull off things no normal person could ever do in a dream.

Pei Guang also noticed Acheron trailing behind. Looking at her outfit, only one question popped into his mind.

Acheron saw his expression and spoke first: "Galaxy Ranger, Acheron…"

Pei Guang shook his head. "I'm not asking for your name. I just want to know… doesn't showing your belly button like that give you diarrhea?"

Stelle perked up curiously: "Huh? Does it?"

She also stared at Acheron with sudden curiosity. Acheron had already felt her head buzzing the moment she saw Pei Guang and Stelle.

Now, with this question added on top, her brain felt like it was trembling.

Seeing Acheron's expression, Pei Guang looked seriously at Stelle. "Judging by her face, nope, no diarrhea!"

Stelle: "How can you tell?"

Pei Guang: "Simple. If she really did, she'd look embarrassed. See her face? That's not embarrassment: that's pure exasperation."

Stelle: "I get it now. But Ah Guang, you're acting weird. Normally, unless you're really close to someone, you wouldn't ask a question like that. Aren't you worried it'll tank her favorability?"

Pei Guang spread his hands. "Why worry? Once we leave here, the memory will disappear anyway."

Stelle: "Oh, right! She told me too—once we leave, we'll forget everything that happened here."

Pei Guang: "See? We'll forget it all anyway, so raising favorability doesn't mean anything. Might as well ask questions that lower favorability. If we get an answer, that's pure profit. If not, the favorability resets and we lose nothing."

Stelle's eyes lit up: "As expected of Ah Guang, with wisdom that shakes the world!"

Looking at the two before them, Acheron and Robin exchanged glances.

That look carried unspoken emotions.

It was a gaze of mutual understanding: in this kind of dream, where strangers cross paths, to share that kind of feeling… it really was a strange kind of fate.

While the two shared this silent connection, Pei Guang suddenly remembered something. Stelle had said that Acheron wielded a long blade.

A long blade…

Pei Guang imagined its form in his head, and suddenly had a bold idea. He quietly took out his white plastic lawn chair and placed it in the corridor.

The moment Stelle saw that chair, her expression grew solemn. She felt something inside her DNA, imprinted by Pei Guang, begin to stir.

But before she could react, Acheron sat down on it.

As she sat, her weapon appeared in her hand. She stabbed the still-sheathed blade into the floor beside her, wearing a look of seriousness… and puzzlement.

Yes, she was wondering why she'd sat down at all. By all appearances it was just an ordinary chair, but it felt like it carried some kind of magical pull.

And it wasn't only her.

Even Robin, seeing the chair, felt it was brimming with power. She too wanted to sit on it, but seeing Acheron there, she suppressed the thought for now.

Acheron: "What a strange chair. Sitting on it makes me feel filled with power…"

Pei Guang nodded firmly: "It's not the chair that's strange, it's you. Sitting with that blade in that chair draws out your strength. Trust me, before a fight, if you sit like this with your back to the enemy, you'll feel an unprecedented surge of power. With it, you could do anything."

Acheron pondered. It sounded absurd, but the problem was… she really did feel stronger. The power was fully under her control and completely harmless to her body.

Because of this undeniable sensation, she committed Pei Guang's words to memory. If she could remember them even after leaving here…

As she sat there, Pei Guang quietly pulled out his pink camera and captured the moment.

Stelle, watching, asked curiously: "But isn't it true we'll lose our memories after leaving here? Why bother recording it?"

Pei Guang: "Losing memory is just game mechanics. But CGs recorded by us players won't vanish just because of that. And besides, don't you think this scene is perfect?"

Looking at Acheron sitting on the chair of power, Stelle nodded involuntarily: "It really does feel powerful! Overflowing with Power… at this moment, I feel like breaking into song!"

Pei Guang clapped his hands: "You know, there really is a song that fits this moment!"

Stelle: "Sing! It's a dream anyway, let's go all out!"
