Chapter 660 - Chapter 659: Trash Can War God Unit

The trash can chariot moved.

The moment it somehow began to move on its own, Pei Guang and Stelle both jumped up excitedly, hopping around the now-moving trash can like primitive humans.

The roughly assembled trash can chariot let out creaking noises. The trash cans, having long been broken down, now seemed delighted they could still serve a purpose.

After going wild for a while in their regressed state, Stelle looked at Pei Guang, eyes sparkling. "Ah Guang! You're a genius!"

Pei Guang shook his head. "No, I'm not a genius: I'm just using my imagination. You can use yours too~"

Pei Guang made an arc motion with his hands, and in that moment, Stelle seemed to see a dazzling rainbow.

She had an epiphany.

Seeing her sudden realization, Pei Guang nodded in satisfaction and praised her. "As expected of you! You instantly understood how important imagination is in a totally open-ended game like this. Since we could even build this thing, I believe we can definitely create even more fun stuff!"

Stelle asked, "So what next?"

She had some ideas, but they were a bit vague. She wanted to see what Pei Guang would do, hoping it would inspire her.

Pei Guang replied, "Well, of course…"

Now that they had built a trash can car, how could they not mount some weapons on it? Pei Guang immediately installed a smaller can at the front, fitting it with a drill assembled from broken trash cans.

He also made some modifications inside the can. The drill could not only rotate at high speed but could also be launched. Once fired, the high-speed drill would be treated as a consumable.

Based on Pei Guang's imagination, this garbage drill should be able to pierce through most armor.

If the drill was launched, the trash can car would essentially become a trash cannon: able to shoot out garbage to attack enemies.

Still, Pei Guang felt this wasn't quite enough. To add a technological touch, he added two cylindrical trash cans at the back of the vehicle—these served as its nitro boosters.

The player-assembled nitro boosters could be charged simply by drifting. Once fully charged, they would greatly boost the car's speed and increase the drill's rotation speed.

As for how fast the trash can car was? According to Pei Guang's system records, under normal conditions, it was no slower than a combat starskiff. And in nitro boost mode, it could far surpass a starskiff at full speed.

Why use the starskiff as a benchmark? Because in this world, the only things Pei Guang had ridden that could loosely be considered vehicles were the Astral Express, the Belobog railcar, and the starskiffs of the Xianzhou Luofu.

Even a player's creations can't completely escape their understanding of the world. The Belobog train wasn't a viable reference, and the Astral Express made no logical sense. But a trash can vehicle as fast as a starskiff?

That, in Pei Guang's view, felt totally reasonable.

By the time Pei Guang finished the upgrades, the trash can chariot had grown to an impressive size.

Looking at this chariot, if that could still be called chariot and not a tank, cobbled together from damaged trash cans, Stelle couldn't help but praise it: "So cool… A trash can this cool is simply thrilling."

Pei Guang smugly replied, "Of course! You have to trust my aesthetics! Look at that sleek can body, that powerful drill, and the rear boosters. Where else in the world is there a war machine this perfect? And more than what you see here, this trash can has… special functions."

Stelle exclaimed, "Special functions?"

Pei Guang nodded. "That's right! Watch this!"

Pei Guang pulled out a garbage bag. The moment he opened it, he shouted excitedly, "Activate! Super Transformation Mode!"

With his shout, the vehicle, assembled from various damaged trash cans, let out a harsh screech. Along with the noise, it suddenly lowered itself to the ground, and the drill on top flew off.

At the same time, its four wheels stretched out and transformed into limbs made from multiple trash cans.

This patched-together trash can flipped upright and stood. As it rose, its left arm became a trash can lid, and its right arm became the drill.

The spot where the drill had been now turned into a hollow space, just the right size for a person to stand in.

Pei Guang didn't hesitate.

He jumped right into the hollowed-out part of the can. At that moment, it was as if these trash cans had become extensions of his body.

Under Pei Guang's control, the left arm swung its shield, and the right arm drove the drill skyward. The lid of the trash can locked firmly over his head.

Pei Guang made sure to hold back a little so the drill didn't hit the ceiling: if it did, Pom-Pom would definitely scold him!

Pei Guang shouted, "This is... the Trash Can War God Unit!"

"Wooow!!!"

At that moment, Stelle's eyes sparkled.

She finally understood what imagination truly meant.

When the Trash Can War God appeared, the worn-out trash cans let out rattling sounds. They were cheering, they were ecstatic.

Though broken and even discarded, they could still clean up the world one last time before disappearing completely. That reignited the cold hearts they once had.

This was the final stand of the trash cans!!!

These worn-out trash cans had become one: united, they found their own kind of greatness.

At that moment, the true king of trash cans gave them a thumbs-up, and Below One Bucket, who was traveling with the cat cakes, even folded its arms in solemn respect.

This was a "mecha" made entirely out of broken trash cans, an abstract construct that would crash most people's brains just by looking at it, but Stelle could feel its charm.

"So cool, it's so cool! Wahhh, Ah Guang! I want one too."

Pei Guang shook his head. "I won't make one for you just yet. You need to create your own with your imagination. In this world, there are no useless parts, only useless players. Let me see what you can turn these cans into! Accept their final ripple!"

Stelle: "!!!"

Her three exclamation marks conveyed her inner feelings, and inspired by Pei Guang, she knew exactly what to do.

She too pulled out various broken trash cans from the bin. She accepted their final will, received the hymn of the trash cans.
