The Gray mansion, while small on the outside, was expansive on the inside. Although nothing much had changed for the family, there were a few more rooms and a newly created basement that Alexander turned into his working area.
Equipped with gadgets found nowhere in the universe, and run by the most powerful AI system the universe had ever seen, the basement was a world of its own. It came with a training facility, a smart library, a dedicated office space for meetings and more.
Alexander's clothes changed into a simple white shirt to present a modicum of officiality to the meeting that was about to take place. As soon as he took his seat at his desk, Xex brought up the meeting screen attached to the wall ahead of him, showing the faces of the hundreds of Council members.
Without wasting time, he focused on Lord Malcolm, leaning back in his chair and supporting his chin with his left hand. "Alright, let's get this over with. Lord Malcolm, please present your petition to the house."
