As a new sun rose in Singapore Dipti Joshi opened her eyes for the first time in sanity.
A man of about 30 was holding her hand. He was asleep on a chair nearby. A girl of about 24 slept on a chair nearby her head on his shoulder. She did not recognize them but she was not alarmed. She felt comfort with that man holding her. He looked tired. She put a hand on his head.
Parry woke up suddenly.
" Aai", he said..

" V. Vinod", she said weakly.
It was after a long time she has taken his name. A tear flew out of Parry's eyes.
" Aai me Aniket. ( Mother I am Aniket)
Baba baba.. ", he shook his head.
" Aniket majha muda bala( Aniket my child my son) ", Dipti cried
Myra woke up then.
" Parry", she nudged.
" She remembers me", said Parry to Myra.
" We will have the culprit by neck now. Raj was right. "
" So much time passed", cried Dipti. " I should have listened to Riya. Saved you. But I turned mad with vengeance. Vinod he killed Vinod. He attacked us. "
" Who aai", asked Parry. " Who attacked you"?
Dipti said,
" Dr. Khurana's elder brother . Yes he did I remember. I was ..I found him Vinod. I. He died.. There were marks on his body.. Blood transfusion.. He was in Khurana's morgue. I got him.. I told him I would tell his father. I have to ru.n. He attacked. "
" Aunty do you remember what happened to your husband's body"?
" I took it. I buried in my old house", she cried.

" Manav", asked Dipti.

Dipti hugged her. " I am so happy", she said.
Justice was coming.
Then the three of them talked a lot.
Prison Mumbai
" I felt someone pushed me then a white light. My head was hurting. Next thing I was with Gaurav who was bleeding to death. And it gave me pleasure", said Rahul. " Do I look like a culprit"?
" Only the last line. Rest makes you look like ignorant ", said Maddy. " Try I was surprised or scared in last line", he said.
" Okay".
" Anything else you remember ", asked Maddy.
" You think I am not mad or fooling you", asked Rahul.
" No. But someone fooled you. Backyard has big flashlight. We put it there for soccer practice. Someone wished to put a crime on other person. You became a scapegoat ".
" I remember a smell", he said.
" Like", asked Maddy.
" Something suffocating", he said.
" Chloroform ", concluded Maddy.
" What does it mean", asked Rahul.
" He set you up. And he attacked you", said Maddy.
" Who"?
" A question I need to search answers for ", said Maddy. " Who attacked you"?
And the answer was manifesting itself. He got a call.
Khurana Hospital
Gaurav opened his eyes slowly.
" Aah water", he said.
The nurse on duty immediately rushed to call dean.
A happy dean sitting with his family.
" You both are doing good", Prakriti saw on ultrasound. " Congratulations ".
" The wedding preparations have begun already", said Prakhar.
Grace blushed.
At that time the emergency nurse rushed in.
" Mr. Shekhawat is conscious ", she said.
Ro rushed back as he called Raj
" Gaurav's awake. Get uncle Salman", he said.
An hour later
Kenny and Kiara were hugging Gaurav and crying. Bhanu was there too. Raj was in deep discussion with Ro. Alok and Maddy arrived.
" Who attacked you"?
Salman asked this question to his friend as every pair of eyes looked at Gaurav.
" I don't know", he said.
" Why did you go to that God damn place", said Kiara.
" I heard a noise ", he said.
" What kind of noise", asked Maddy.
" Listen", he sighed. " I wasn't happy with your announcement ", he said to Kenny. " I thought of a drink or four".
" Fair", said Raj.
" Since punditji forbade it inside I went out. I keep a stash in my office. I was moving when I heard it and went asking who is it there. I went there. A faint almond smell was there", he said.
" Chloroform again", mused Maddy.
" Someone hit me from behind. I turned and could see a man a tall man as he struck me with full force again and a third time. I could just cry for help", he said.
" Who was tha attacker? Did you identify ", asked Alok.
" Aah my head", said Gaurav.
Kenny started wailing and Kiara joined her.
" I think it's enough", said Solly as Salman nodded.
Afterwards as Kiara left with Maddy she was angry. She cried,
" Why did Rahul do it"?
Maddy remained silent. He has decided to come clean to her.
" I and Kenny we supported the twins so much. I never thought.. ", she sobbed.
She saw Maddy drove in to a restaurant.
" You are not going to office", she asked.
" I have to tell you something. I need you to have an open mind on it", he said.
" So tell", she said.
Maddy smirked.
" I am going to hate it. Right", she asked
" Ummm maybe", he said.
" I.. I", she was saying.
" Get down and eat", said Maddy. " Then think deeply over what I say. Plus I want myself in one piece ", he said.
Kiara angrily marched out.
Maddy took her. They sat near pool and he ordered her favourite dishes. As she started eating he said,
" Rahul didn't attack Gaurav. He was set up".
Kiara spitted her drink. Maddy patted her back.
" You. You how.. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT "?
She was at a complete loss.
" I met him in prison ", confessed Maddy.
" And I am convinced he is innocent ".
" YOU F*CKING WHAT", she squealed.
" I am defending him", said Maddy prepared for the blow.
It never came. Kiara went completely silent.
" How are you sure", she asked.
" First I need you to believe me", he said as he held her hands in his . " I can't let an innocent man be punished. Who better than us to know that pain? "
" Gautam didn't kill prince Aditya Shiva please please... Help me Shiva". Aditi was crying.
Kiara sat frozen in past as Maddy held her hand.
She took a deep breath.
" What do you want me to do Maddy", she asked.
" Investigate. You are good at it. When the world blamed Raj you knew who could have done it.. We miss details but not you Ki", he said.
" I will help you but I will meet that r*scal first. I trust you Maddy but not Rahul. I need to be sure of his innocence too", she said.
" I am proud of you. I wish I listened to you in the past. But then fate had written this story for us", he said.
She hugged him.
Flashback
" Gunjan is innocent Dheeraj. Reshma tricked her", said Rajjo.

He remained silent.

She touched his feet.

She laughed like a mad woman.
