"Who is it?"
Aiden asked, looking at her, his voice soft and gentle as always.
Arwen sighed in relief before she shook her head at him. Then she spoke hastily on the line, as if rushing to get it done as soon as possible before hanging up.
"You can confirm it. I will come tomorrow."
"Sure, ma'am."
And with that, the call was disconnected.
Arwen set the phone down and then gave a smile to Aiden, who was still looking at her as if waiting for her to say something.
"They just wanted to confirm the appointment."
"Appointment?"
Arwen nodded, feigning nonchalance. "Yes. I feel like I need to rejuvenate. So, I booked a spa." As she said that, she crossed her fingers, feeling guilty of lying to him.
However, she couldn't tell me anything until she confirmed the things herself. After all, nothing seems as simple as she thought it was before. Not her past, not her memories and not her amnesia.
