Arwen paused at Aiden's voice. She turned her head, only to see him walking into the room —confidence laced on every step, the same effortless charm glimmering in his eyes.
Unbeknownst to her, her brows were slightly knitted together —the way Aiden knew she always did when something was bothering or confusing her.
His gaze dropped to the phone she held in her hands. "You are looking into something?"
Her furrow deepened for a split second, but then, when she realized what he was referring to, she quickly blinked and composed herself. Closing the phone, she set it aside before shaking her head casually.
"Oh, nothing much. Just some details related to the new project Davies is planning to invest in."
Aiden's eyes narrowed subtly at her. "Is it?"
