It was late, and Aiden still hadn't left the office. He was sitting inside his office, working.
Jason had left quite a long time ago. But Emyr was still there.
He has gone to check the schedule for the ninth time, but up until now, he couldn't tell what had kept his boss so engrossed at work today.
The work should have ended by now.
He was re-checking the schedule on the tablet when, in the silent air of the empty office, he heard the elevator dinging again.
When he raised his gaze, he saw Arwen walking out. "Madam," he stood up to greet, and Arwen gave him a soft smile.
"Mr. Ethan," she reciprocated. Her gaze darted to look behind him in the direction of Aiden's office. "I got to know that Aiden hasn't yet returned home, so I expected him to still be here, working."
Emyr nodded. "Yes, sir is still in the office."
Arwen paused for a moment before she asked, "Has work been hectic for him recently? He seemed to be caught up here for longer these days."
