The Qilin Army set out from the capital city of Central State, following the water to the eighteen states of Jiangnan. This journey was supposed to be swift and effortless, due to the current flowing in their favor, but it became slowed because they were constantly fighting battles, and because the actions of Li Guanyi were being widely spread.
Along the way, many people came to join their cause. The previously prepared ships couldn't accommodate them all, let alone the continuous stream of ordinary folks who kept coming, significantly slowing the Qilin Army's pace.
When Li Guanyi left the Academy, most of the disciples from the Mo School's lineage followed him, which allowed them to gather materials on site to construct new, simple mechanical ships and to purchase various-sized vessels.
