"Hmph!" a voice scoffed. "The Battle Aura inside him is so intense it almost makes it hard for me to breathe. This proves he's a Legendary Knight, and a powerful one at that. There's no faking it."
"Is that so?" the female Wizard pondered. "Then should we still..." She gestured vaguely.
"Better not," the shadows in the corner swayed. "Any Wizard who can command such a Legendary Knight is definitely not to be trifled with. There's no need to court trouble over a damaged Inheritance Witch Artifact."
"The market has just opened. There will be plenty more Wizards coming, plenty of opportunities and targets."
"You're right." The female Wizard nodded, discreetly retracting the methods she had intended to employ.
Outside the tent, Carl breathed a sigh of relief when he sensed the lingering aura around him disappear.
He knew this place wasn't entirely safe, but he hadn't expected to be targeted on his very first visit. Fortunately, his objective had been achieved.
