Afterward, Xue Yang promised to give everyone an extra bonus, which was met with another round of enthusiastic applause.
"Long live President Xue!"
No matter the occasion, words could never be as effective as cold, hard cash. What do people work hard for, if not for money? Surely not for love.
The meeting finally ended at 12:00 PM. After a quick lunch of fast food, everyone dove back into their hectic work. According to the schedule, the company party would be held after they finished for the day. While play was important, so was work. A company dinner wouldn't feel as rewarding without having earned it.
"President Xue, when are you returning to school?" Tony asked, entering Xue Yang's office.
Xue Yang stopped typing and replied, "August 17th."
Tony glanced at his phone. "So, that's next Tuesday." Time is tight. It was obvious President Xue would be swamped these next few days.
