Upon hearing Si Wen's words, Lin Xi's pretty face flushed bright red. "Si Wen, what are you talking about? I'm not pining for anyone."
"You say you're not, but look, it's written all over your face."
Lin Xi covered her face in a panic. "Ah? Did I write something on my face? Where?"
Could it be? When I was just thinking about Xue Yang, did I accidentally write his name on my face? That shouldn't be possible. The tip of the pen was pointing down the whole time.
She looked down at the book filled with Xue Yang's name written over and over again and pouted. "Si Wen, you're teasing me again."
"No, I'm not," Si Wen said, poking Lin Xi's cheek a few times with her finger. "It's written right here: 'I'm pining for a boy.'"
"You are teasing me! I'm not pining, I just miss Xue Yang."
"If missing Xue Yang isn't pining, then what is it?"
Lin Xi tilted her head and asked in confusion, "Is missing Xue Yang the same as pining?"
