After winning the championship in 2007, his popularity soared, and he became the top vote-getter in 2008; in the 2008 Olympics opening game, he crushed the Dream Eight, and his popularity rose again, making him the top vote-getter in 2009; with 70 wins and a championship last season, this season he's still competing for the Scoring King title and his outstanding performance in January interrupted James' streak of monthly MVPs… If he hadn't gotten the top vote, he'd be surprised.
What thrilled him more was Iverson defeating Wade's 2.06 million votes with his own 2.32 million votes, earning a place as the Eastern All-Star starting backcourt!
Though Wade didn't make the starting lineup, the coaches are sure to select him for the All-Stars.
The same goes for Paul, who lost to Nash's 2.11 million votes with 1.98 million votes, but he's sure to make the All-Star substitutes.
