Since Michael Vick burst onto the scene in 2001, running quarterbacks have developed over nearly two decades and have become increasingly mature.
Over the past few years, running quarterbacks have become a force that changes the times in the League. Russell Wilson, Robert Griffin III, Colin Kaepernick, and Cam Newton have emerged, capable of both passing and running, known as dual-threats and hailed as the super-evolved version of quarterbacks, completely overturning the sport of Football.
However, the ideal is full, but the reality is thin.
The so-called pass-run dual-threat ultimately presents as the "Four Great Running Backs," with only Wilson's passing ability above the passing line. Overall, their somewhat adequate passing has made them merely more mobile running backs, yet they can't match running backs in absorbing hits, with injuries becoming roadblocks standing before them.
