But compared to the misty scene he had imagined… something over there felt off.

The crystalline armor on his arm vanished, replaced by two oddly shaped daggers.
Bai Luo raised the daggers high—slotting the blade of the naginata neatly into the gap between them.
While Bai Luo held her weapon back with one hand, Raiden Ei clenched her free left hand. Lightning gathered in her palm.
Bai Luo took the opportunity to pull back his left-hand dagger and threw it toward her.

A deep thunderclap echoed through the hall, even making Yae Miko—who had been watching the show—cover her ears.
When the lightning faded, Bai Luo and Raiden Ei had already separated and stood facing each other on opposite sides of the hall.
Feeling the numbness of the electro shock, Bai Luo took a deep breath and raised his guard again.
As for Raiden Ei, she lifted her hand and looked at her palm, full of confusion.

She hadn't dodged the incoming dagger at all—she had tanked it head-on.

Landing steadily, he didn't rush to counterattack. Instead, he activated Shadow Step.
A pale-blue glow enveloped him, and in an instant, all of his presence vanished completely.
"He ran?"
Yae Miko glanced around, but found no sign of Bai Luo.
Not only did she make no effort to help her dear friend locate him, she leisurely crouched down in the corner.
Because she already guessed what Ei was planning.
"Raikō Sendō!"
The naginata spun in Raiden Ei's hands, and in an instant, Electro energy filled the entire room.
Boom—!
Blinding lightning surged throughout Tenshukaku.
Every corner was ravaged by lightning—except for the place where Yae Miko stood.
Even before the lightning fully dispersed, Raiden Ei flashed before Yae Miko like a thunderbolt—and slashed at her.

Yae Miko was unharmed.
Instead, another figure was sent flying, blasted through the lightning curtain, crashing through a wooden wall and tumbling into the neighboring room.
One had to admit—Ei might not be the strongest ruler in statecraft.

The moment Bai Luo hid his presence, she had already planned the entire sequence of attacks.

This was one of the Voids he had acquired—the Dancer's Shoes.

Because a Bai Luo suspended in the air would never be able to dodge her slash.
If she could strike him down, the strange phenomena he brought with him should disappear as well.
But there was one thing she didn't know—
Bai Luo's Dancer's Shoes had an air-stall ability.

Seeing the lightning slash coming, Bai Luo flipped in midair.
In the once-empty space, a pale-blue light-wall materialized.
Using the rebound of the light-wall, Bai Luo launched a flying kick straight toward Raiden Ei's chest.

Fortunately, the kick was only meant to draw her attention—because the real finishing blow… had just arrived.

A ferocious steel beast roared out of the room—a speeding train tore forward and slammed directly into Raiden Ei.
Carrying her with unstoppable momentum, the train shot straight through Tenshukaku, racing through the air for nearly a kilometer before vanishing without a trace.
