After settling into the room and exploring it fully, Kay finally called out his two Pokémons. With a quick flash of light from their Poké Balls, Eevee and Growlithe appeared by his side.
As soon as they opened their eyes and noticed their new environment, they both began jumping around in excitement.
Their fluffy tails wagged happily, and their paws made soft taps against the smooth floor as they ran in circles, sniffing everything they could.
The moment they noticed the two pet houses; each clearly designed for them, they ran toward them immediately. Eevee jumped into the soft, cozy pet house with the blanket and toys, rubbing its head against the soft pillow.
Growlithe barked happily and curled up inside his fire-themed house, clearly enjoying the warm light and the heat coming from the gentle heat lamp inside.
Their excitement made Kay smile warmly. Even though his Pokémons had fought fiercely in battles and were growing stronger each day, they were still very young.
Eevee was only two years old, and Growlithe hadn't even turned one yet. They were still kids at heart, and Kay knew how important it was to give them moments to play freely and feel joy outside of training.
For nearly an hour, the two Pokémon chased each other around the room, leaping over furniture, rolling on the soft carpet, and sometimes jumping into each other's pet houses.
Their laughter-like sounds filled the room with life. But after a while, Kay clapped his hands loudly to get their attention.
"Enough playing," he said with a small laugh. "You've had fun for an hour now, it's training time."
He guided them both to the training area behind the side door. As they entered the large space filled with equipment, Kay gave his instructions seriously.
"Eevee, I want you to keep training on Calm Mind. You need to learn it before tomorrow. It's very important."
Eevee nodded with determination in her eyes. Kay then pointed her toward a soundproof training room nearby.
It was a small, quiet space with thick walls and no windows, designed to block any noise or movement from outside.
Inside was a round meditation cushion, calming lights, and soft white noise. The room was perfect for mental focus.
Kay thought that it was designed for Psychic-type Pokémon to meditate, but it was exactly what Eevee needed to master a move like Calm Mind.
Then Kay turned to Growlithe. "As for you, Growlithe, keep working on Flame Charge."
For this, he led Growlithe to a special training machine. The machine looked like a spinning platform with several moving rings around it.
As it turned slowly, flames would appear in different spots along the path, and the platform would speed up gradually. The goal was for Growlithe to run in circles, building momentum while avoiding obstacles and keeping balance.
This helped him practice both speed and fire control at the same time, which was perfect for mastering Flame Charge. It even had a temperature sensor to track how hot his flames were getting.
Once both Pokémons had started their focused training, Kay walked further into the hallway and discovered another room he hadn't seen earlier.
Inside was a private gym made for human trainers. It had padded floors, a weightlifting section, punching bags, balance beams, and even a virtual sparring screen.
Kay could choose different training modes, from strength to endurance to reflex. The air was cool, the lights were bright, and upbeat music played softly in the background.
It was a perfect place for Kay to train and improve his reaction time, which was important in battles.
The rest of the day passed in this rhythm. While Eevee sat in silence inside her soundproof room, focusing her energy and learning to steady her breathing, Growlithe ran harder and faster on the spinning flame platform, pushing himself past his limits.
Kay himself worked through drills, lifted weights, and practiced footwork. Time passed quickly, and before they knew it, night had fallen.
Tired but satisfied, Kay finished his training and walked back into his main room. He took a long, relaxing shower, letting the hot water soothe his muscles.
A few minutes later, a knock came at the door. It was the same guard who was standing near the entrance earlier, and he brought dinner on a tray.
The meal was simple but warm and delicious; grilled meat, vegetables, and rice for Kay, along with some fruit for dessert. The guard also brought food for the Pokémons, carefully prepared for each one.
For Growlithe, the guard offered a warm bowl of roasted meat chunks mixed with a spicy sauce made just for fire-type Pokémons.
The food gave off a slight steam, and the smell was strong, designed to stimulate his fiery energy and keep his body warm and strong.
For Eevee, the guard served a light, creamy dish filled with berries, oats, and small energy drops that helped improve focus and mental clarity.
The food was soft and easy to eat, and it gave off a sweet smell, comforting and calming for a normal-type like Eevee.
Kay sat on the floor with his two Pokémons beside him, and they all ate together in a warm, peaceful atmosphere.
After they finished eating, Eevee curled up in its pet house, and Growlithe followed, lying inside its warm shelter.
Kay turned off the lights slowly, stretched one last time, and climbed into bed. As he lay down, he looked toward his Pokémons, who were already dozing off peacefully. A small smile formed on his lips.
Tomorrow would be a big day, but for now… he needed rest. With a deep breath, Kay closed his eyes and drifted into sleep.
The next day, Kay woke up early, just as the first light of the sun started to shine through the small window.
He stretched his arms, took a deep breath, and then walked into the bathroom to take a quick shower.
After getting ready, he went over to wake his two Pokémons, who were still sleeping peacefully in their pet houses. "Time to wake up," Kay said gently.
Growlithe opened his eyes and gave a small bark, while Eevee yawned and stretched before jumping out of its house.
After a few minutes, both were fully awake and ready to start their day. Kay smiled, then said, "Let's begin with some morning training."
For the next three hours, the room was filled with movement, sounds, and energy. Eevee focused inside the soundproof room, trying again and again to stay calm and gather Psychic energy.
Growlithe ran on the spinning flame machine, pushing himself harder each time. Meanwhile, Kay trained his own body in the fitness room, working on strength and endurance.
After those three hours, just as Kay was finishing a set of push-ups, he heard a knock at the door.
He stood up, wiped the sweat from his face, and walked over to open it. Just like yesterday, the same guard was standing outside, holding a tray with breakfast.
"Thanks," Kay said politely, taking the tray.
He turned to his Pokémon and called out, "Time to take a break and eat."
The three of them sat together once again, enjoying the peaceful moment. Kay had a warm breakfast with eggs, toast, and fruit, while Growlithe got his spicy roasted meat, and Eevee happily ate her soft berry-and-oat mix.
After breakfast, instead of returning to training right away, Kay decided it was time to check on his Pokémon's progress. He started with Eevee and walked with her toward the soundproof room.
Once inside, the quietness wrapped around them like a blanket. Kay looked at Eevee and smiled gently. "Alright, Eevee. Show me how far you've gotten with Calm Mind."
Eevee barked softly, "Eevweee…" then sat down, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. Slowly, a soft light began to glow around her body as Psychic energy started to gather.
Her fur moved slightly from the energy, and the air felt calmer around her. Kay watched closely, feeling proud.
But just as the energy reached its peak, Eevee's eyes opened suddenly, and the energy faded away. Something had broken her concentration.
Kay didn't seem disappointed. Instead, he nodded with a serious face. "You're very close, Eevee. You almost did it. You just need a little more focus."
Eevee looked up at him with determined eyes and wagged her tail, showing it was ready to keep trying.
Next, Kay headed over to Growlithe's training area. The flame machine stood in the corner, still slightly warm from the morning's training.
Growlithe was sitting nearby, drinking water. When he saw Kay, he barked happily and stood up.
"Growlithe," Kay said, "Let me see your progress, too."
"Graaaw, Graaaw!" Growlithe barked with excitement, then jumped up onto the platform.
The machine began to spin, and flames appeared in small bursts along the track. Growlithe ran faster and faster, flames building around his paws as he picked up speed.
Kay watched carefully. Growlithe's spinning was much better than before; smooth, balanced, and fast.
However, after just a short time, Growlithe suddenly slowed down and stumbled to a stop, panting heavily with its tongue hanging out. He was huffing and puffing, clearly tired.
"You've made good progress, your movement is strong, and your control is better. But your problem is that your body heats up too fast. You can't maintain the spin because your temperature rises too quickly."
Growlithe looked at Kay with wide eyes, understanding what he meant.
"You need to work on controlling your body heat," Kay continued. "If you can keep your fire under control, you'll be able to spin longer and make your Flame Charge much stronger."
Growlithe nodded firmly, his eyes shining with determination and admiration for Kay, who found the problem that was holding it in just a short moment.
