Sakura stood there, deep in thought. She was actually somewhat tempted by the idea.
The medical division's workload was too overwhelming. Since Tsunade had left and Shizune had followed, Sakura had been working nonstop, day and night.
If this continued, she'd burn out sooner or later.
If Hanabi really agreed, it would lighten her load significantly. The Hyuga Clan's members are good at Chakra Control, which aligned well with Medical Ninjutsu.
Konoha was currently short on Medical-nin, and exceptional ones were even rarer.
After all, the path of a Medical-nin was far more arduous and mentally taxing than that of a regular Shinobi.
Besides hard work and dedication, intelligence and talent were also very important factors. If Hanabi agrees to join the ranks of Medical-nin, Sakura would be more than willing to teach her.
"Then I'll give it a try. Can I mention your name?" Sakura asked.
"Why bring me into it?"
"Aren't you close with Hanabi? With your relationship with Hinata, she might agree faster." She explained, watching him finish his breakfast.
"Uh, whatever, but I suggest you not to." Naruto shook his head, "Hanabi probably knows about the situation by now. Mentioning my name might just complicate things."
"Really?" Sakura smiled, "What if she finds out about our relationship? Wouldn't that make things even messier?"
"Are you scared?" Naruto looked at Sakura in surprise, "Shouldn't you be more excited?"
Sakura smiled noncommittally, pursed her lips and said nothing more.
The matter of recruiting Hanabi was settled hastily. As Sakura bent down to clean up the breakfast bags, preparing to leave, Naruto suddenly reached out and pulled her closer.
"I'm going to be late for work!"
"No one's going to monitor whether you're late or not. After all, you are the head of the medical division, so it doesn't matter if you are a little late." He said nonchalantly.
"It's all your fault!" Sakura cleaned up the trash on the table, but she wasn't really upset. Her face was flushed.
"Heh." Naruto didn't refute.
"I'm leaving. I'm already late." Sakura said and left in a hurry.
Naruto didn't mind. Since it was broad daylight, he didn't want to risk being seen, so he turned back to the office to catch some more sleep. After all, there was nothing else to do now.
'It was all that damned Uchiha Obito's fault.'
Now that the heads of both families had met, it was the worst possible scenario. He'd rather have a frank, no-holds-barred discussion with Hinata and Ino behind closed doors than have things spiral out of control like this.
Before this, he had a plan to maintain his relationships with both women. Given some time, he could have resolved everything perfectly s.
But fate had other plans. This unexpected turn of events was his own fault. Naruto knew that greed came with consequences, but he had no intention of changing.
Originally, he had planned to stay in the village for a while, spend time with Hinata and Ino, and then leave for Iwagakure.
But now that something like this has happened, he doesn't know whether to leave or stay.
So, as the saying goes, it's better to stay still than to act.
There was no denying that Naruto was a scumbag, and he was well aware of it. He is also worried that his abilities might not match his ambitions, so while he enjoyed lazing around, he also got some serious work done.
He could treat others with a carefree attitude, but he could never do the same to Hinata and Ino.
Both Hinata and Ino were wonderful in their own ways. Hinata was gentle and devoted, and her eyes are always filled with love for him. Ino was independent and kind, and her affection is as enduring as a summer day.
He had originally thought about separating them, taking either Ino or Hinata away with him. But later, by some strange coincidence, the two women seemed to have reconciled and even grown closer.
This gave Naruto a glimpse of another possibility, and he quickly abandoned his earlier plan, testing whether the two women could gradually accept each other.
But this sudden incident had shattered that possibility. It seemed like things had come full circle, returning to square one.
Naruto lay on the sofa, placed his hands on his stomach, stared at the ceiling and thought for a while. Suddenly, he took out two communicators and called the two girls at the same time.
Beep, beep, beep…
The sound of unanswered calls echoed in the room. This didn't surprise him, but he couldn't help sighing.
"I hope some kind soul descends from the heavens to save me."
Meanwhile, Sasuke Uchiha was still on his way, moving at top speed toward Konoha.
…
"Brothers are meant to be used!" Choji shook his chubby cheeks and waved his hands resolutely, saying, "That's what he told me at the time, and then he asked me to pay for the meal."
"Naruto's morals are truly bottomless. It's despicable." Kiba couldn't help but complain.
In the Hokage Tower, in Shikamaru's spacious office, not only Choji and Kiba were there, but even Neji and Shino, who happened to be free, had also joined.
The group sat scattered around the room. Shikamaru was making tea skillfully and serving it to his friends. Hearing Kiba's complaints, he couldn't help but chimed in.
"Naruto has always been like that. I'm used to it."
"But isn't this situation a bit too much? I usually don't get involved in his messes." Shikamaru cleared his throat and couldn't help but look at Neji.
Among those present, Neji was likely the only one who knew more about the deeper details.
"It seems that Ino has been taken back to the clan by Uncle Inoichi. I didn't dare go and ask." Choji shook his head and said with some fear.
"I-I'm not sure either. Hiashi-sama doesn't seem too happy." Neji said, "But he hasn't lost his temper. Hinata should still be at home for now."
"What exactly happened?" Shino asked, feeling a little confused, "Although I roughly know what it is about, but..."
"It's like this…" Choji squinted his small eyes and explained the whole situation.
After hearing this, Shino fell silent.
"Naruto, he…"
"Hey, we're here discussing his mess, but where is Naruto?" Kiba suddenly asked.
"Who knows? Probably hiding." Shikamaru shrugged, "But you guys are even stranger. Why did you come to me when something like this happens?"
"Well…" Choji scratched his head, "Out of all of us, you're the smartest. I wanted to hear your thoughts and then pass them on to Naruto."
"I'm just here to watch the fun. That bastard Naruto really deserves to die!" Kiba raised his hand.
"I heard something happened to Hinata and thought there was an emergency." Shino said, "I was forcibly dragged here by Kiba."
Everyone looked at Neji, who was a little embarrassed and coughed.
"I want to help Naruto, and I hope that things can be resolved peacefully. If things escalate, it'll be a loss for both the village and our friendship."
Hearing this, Kiba seemed to have thought of something. He looked up and asked, "By the way, there are only four girls in our four teams. How many of them has Naruto messed with?"
