Lian Hua raised her eyes, filled with emotion, and nodded vigorously: "Brother Zhao, next time I won't be so reckless. I will take care and grow old with you."
The Emperor pinched her cheek, leaned in to kiss her, and responded with a smile: "Alright."
The two reconciled, appearing particularly intimate, especially Lian Hua, who affectionately called him Brother Zhao at every turn.
She recounted to the Emperor the stories from the Imperial Garden, about Xiao Linzi's peril, about her ordering people to beat Ye Ying and Master Wu, and about the unavoidable encounters between her and the grey hawk.
After narrating, Lian Hua summarized her experience: "Brother Zhao, I've thought it through carefully. If anything like this happens again, I should find you first, then you can send those flying men in black. Without being a burden like me, they can move faster and it's better than me going."
The Emperor tapped her nose and said meaningfully: "Such things will not happen again."
