"Nurse, I want to ask about someone. Does your hospital have a nurse named Lin Zhi?" a pregnant woman inquired in a hospital room.
The young nurse thought this was another person coming because of Lin Zhi's reputation.
"Are you talking about Doctor Lin?"
"Doctor? Isn't she a nurse?"
"How could she be a nurse? You must have gotten it wrong, she's a doctor."
The pregnant woman laughed, "I heard she graduated in nursing, how could she possibly be a doctor? It must be someone with the same name, perhaps I was mistaken."
"Doctor Lin indeed started out in nursing, but her professional skills were so good that she was promoted to a doctor. She's really amazing, a role model for us nurses," the young nurse said proudly.
The pregnant woman was surprised, "A nurse can become a doctor? Isn't that quite a leap?"
"What's so big about that? Doctor Lin specializes in childbirth, she doesn't treat other patients, she only works in obstetrics. That's perfectly normal, okay?"
