"What are you thinking about? Your face is so red." Pei Yicheng's gaze stayed on Xu Nianhua in the mirror. Her skin was always fair, so when she blushed, it looked as if she'd applied rouge.
"Nothing."
Xu Nianhua glanced at him quickly, then lowered her eyes again.
"Are you getting impatient?" Pei Yicheng looked at her with a half-smile.
"What?" Xu Nianhua didn't catch his meaning at first, but when she did, her face turned bright red, like a cooked shrimp. She turned her head, forgetting he was still drying her hair. He accidentally tugged a strand, making her eyes brim with tears from the pain.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to." Pei Yicheng crouched down tenderly, gently rubbing her aching head.
Pei Yicheng kept apologizing, making Xu Nianhua feel embarrassed. She cleared her throat and said, "It's okay, you didn't do it on purpose."
She pointed to a spot still damp. "Yicheng, this part isn't dry yet."
"Okay."
