Wa Lei's ears buzzed as he listened to Su Xi's words. He clearly understood the meaning of each word, but when put together, he couldn't make sense of it.
"I'm sorry, I can't accept your proposal." Su Xi resolutely refused.
Xu Nianhua let out a sigh of relief. She had been worried that Su Xi might agree under pressure.
"Nianhua, let's go." Su Xi decisively pulled Xu Nianhua towards the edge of the crowd, which parted automatically to make way.
