"Little Sis, Mom sure treats you well—she makes you nourishing soup every day."
On the train, Xu Nian'an teased her, looking at her.
Xu Nianhua shot him a glare and grumbled, "Second Brother, just laugh if you want. Don't you think I've gained a whole round? If you were drinking that soup every day, I bet you would've run off ages ago."
Xu Nianhua pinched her now-rounder waist. Luckily, she had a small frame, and used to be skinny—otherwise, she'd be way too chubby to see anyone!
"Hahahaha~"
Xu Nian'an burst out laughing. Thankfully, there were only the two of them in the carriage right now. He said, "Little Sis, you really don't know how lucky you are. Think back to before: there were whole years when our family struggled to get even one sip of meat soup!"
"So true." Xu Nianhua also couldn't help thinking of their tough old days. Now that she recalled it, even though life was hard, as long as the family was together, wasn't that a kind of happiness too?
