Time rewinds back to the morning.
Xu Nianhua brought a pot of lean pork congee to the hospital. Xu Nian'an saw her and looked like he'd just found his savior. He said, "Little sis, you're way too late. I'm starving out here."
Xu Nian'an looked at the congee she was carrying in her hand, and a whole bag of meat buns, and happily said, "Little sis, you're the best. You know I love meat buns."
Xu Nian'an took a big bite of the meat bun, his heart especially content. Home is just the best. Even meat buns from home taste better than anywhere else.
"Second brother, aren't you exaggerating a little?" Xu Nianhua was serving the congee as she glanced at the watch on her wrist—it was just past seven, not late at all in her opinion.
"Nope, not exaggerating."
Xu Nian'an finished a meat bun in just two bites. With his empty stomach filled, he finally felt comfortable again.
