"Um..." Xu Nianhua was so embarrassed she didn't know what to say. She explained, "I've just been really busy and forgot. I'll definitely treat you."
She muttered in her heart, Chen-ge isn't usually this petty, right? Didn't I just hear he's been interning lately?
The hand cream sales are getting better and better, adding a bunch of new scents. I heard the investment is increasing too.
How does he even remember such a small thing?
"Hehe, Nianhua, are you hiding from my brother?" Pei Yining stared at Xu Nianhua like she'd found a new continent, convinced that Nianhua had been dodging her brother recently.
Otherwise, why would she drag Yining to deliver papers every single time?
Could it be that while she was busy, something happened between her brother and Nianhua that she didn't know about?
"No."
Xu Nianhua answered super fast.
But she forgot—the faster she answered, the guiltier she seemed.
