Bricks and lumber were gradually piled up on the land that Xu Qinghe and his family bought. The fourteenth day of the first lunar month, an auspicious day—Qingsong Furniture Factory started construction.
In the village, quite a few people were envious and jealous, but when they heard Qingsong Furniture Factory was hiring apprentices, everyone flocked forward, eager to show their faces in front of Xu Qinghe and Xu Song's families, hoping to get picked as apprentices.
Cai Feng and Yao Gen both got unanimous approval from Xu Qinghe and Xu Song. Not to mention how they treated Xu Nianji back when they were at the brick factory—when Xu Nianji got beaten up, it was the two of them who carried him home.
The Cai Family and the Yao Family both had good relations with their families, too.
Cai Feng and Yao Gen were a thousand times willing to help out, volunteering enthusiastically.
