Shangguan Yu didn't eat, so Gu Yao kept holding until her hand started to tremble from exhaustion. Ultimately, Shangguan Yu spoke first.
"Miss Gu, thank you very much for visiting me. If there's nothing else, I'd like to rest now." His tone was flat, with no fluctuations or emotions, as if treating a stranger.
Even in his eyes, the usual shine was nowhere to be found.
This version of him seemed like a different person than his usual offhand manner.
"Who said there's nothing?" Gu Yao withdrew her hand, placing the now cold spoonful of porridge back into the bowl. She held the bowl, her eyes reddened as she looked at him.
"Please speak." This tone and attitude, keeping others at a distance, really made one uncomfortable.
"I should be the one saying this. You kept calling my name while unconscious. Was there something you wanted to tell me?"
