This dinner could be called her personal Waterloo, as her smile gradually stiffened at the corners of her mouth. Eventually, even Zhou Xinyao gave up the struggle, obediently shut her mouth and sat in silence.
Sitting across from her, Li Zhao seemed to be in a decent mood, enjoying his meal thoroughly, although he was reluctant to strike up more than a few words of conversation with her.
When the dessert arrived, Zhou Xinyao could no longer hold back and voiced the thoughts that had been tormenting her. "Do you have an issue with me?"
