Xia Lu had arrived to find the atmosphere in the house somewhat tense.
Xia Zhiqiu sat alone on the sofa, her eyes red and silent. Xia Yidong stood by the window, seemingly pondering something. It was Xia Lu's aunt who opened the door. She had nothing to do that day and had been staying at home.
The aunt was not very noticeable in the family, and her personality was relatively gentle. She rarely had strong opinions, so most of the time, the major and minor matters of the household were decided by her uncle.
"Lulu, you're here, come in quickly," the aunt said as she helped her with the slippers for indoor wear and then went aside to pour tea.
The Xia siblings turned their heads simultaneously.
"Lulu, why are you here?" Xia Zhiqiu was surprised, looking towards her brother, "Yidong, it wasn't you who called her, was it? This matter has nothing to do with Lulu. Don't drag her into it."
