Xia Lu waited for the elevator while checking her phone and noticed a message from Zhou Mingchen.
"If you don't answer the phone, you're dead."
She frowned; he had been almost becoming a control freak lately, tracking her all the time. Even though she had said she was busy, he still acted like this, which annoyed her. However, the issue was about to be resolved now, so she thought it might be better to just send him a message to come and pick her up instead of taking a taxi herself.
Having received no reply from Xia Lu, Zhou Mingchen went directly to the entrance of the noodle shop they had visited before.
Just after the message had been sent, her phone rang, and after hesitating for two seconds, Xia Lu still answered.
"Hello?"
"What are you doing there?!" Zhou Mingchen nearly roared, his loud questioning making Xia Lu's eardrum ache.
