Although Xia Lu couldn't pinpoint what was wrong, she just felt something was off.
"Have any of you seen anyone carrying this type of candy before? Or if you encountered someone whose attire didn't match the event's style on the night of the banquet, you can tell me," he said.
They had asked this question before; if they had noticed anything, they would have mentioned it earlier, not waited until now.
Both of them shook their heads, leaving the police officer helpless.
"In that case, I'm afraid that's all for today," he said with a hint of regret, "When you go back, think it over carefully and notify us immediately if you find anything. We will also start collecting fingerprints from the guests as soon as possible and keep in touch with any news."
"However, I believe the chances of finding anything are not great," he added, "According to our speculation, the perpetrator is likely an outsider."
Upon returning home from the police station, Xia Lu felt completely drained.
