At night, Xia Lu was lying on the soft, comfortable big bed in her new house, casually flipping through a novel when her phone suddenly rang.
She picked it up and saw that it was the seldom-calling Nanny Zhang.
"Madam, would it be convenient for you to come over now?" Nanny Zhang's tone was anxious, yet she tried to lower her voice, "Come to the West Suburb Villa."
Xia Lu glanced at the time; it was nearly midnight, "What happened? Is there some kind of trouble?"
"It's the master," Nanny Zhang continued, "He went out for a banquet this evening and somehow got himself completely drunk when he came back. Now he's smashing things around the house and shouting your name while he does it. I really can't handle this alone."
As Nanny Zhang spoke, Xia Lu could already hear the "crash" and "clatter" of things being smashed in the background, which set her heart racing.
