Chapter 232 - Chapter 232 Side Effects.

After getting rid of the curse, Paul almost immediately fell asleep and slept for the next two days.

It was not strange after what he just pulled off, especially at his cultivation level.

He opened his eyes in the morning of the third day, discovering that he was alone in the bed, which was unusual, but he didn't complain.

-You did great, kid.

Paul heard the voice of Lord Sei in his mind.

-But it would be better for you not to try anything like that again in the near future.

Channeling so much power too often might cause trouble for your cultivation.

The soul warned him.

-I doubt that I'll have an opportunity to do something like this anytime soon.

Paul answered.

-Not in this world, but if people in the upper realms find out you can dispel curses, then you will be swarmed by people asking you to help them.

In the past, I made the mistake of revealing this skill, and it caused a lot of trouble for me.

The soul said, with a tone suggesting that he regretted it even now.

-Alright, since that's the case, I won't use this skill in the upper realms, unless it's necessary.

-Good.

Now you should probably get up, since your ladies are a bit worried about you, and if I'm not mistaken, there are a lot of people who wish to extend their thanks for all the help you provided with their cultivation.

The reincarnation soul was not wrong, since as soon as Paul got down, he was greeted by his ladies, and when the news that he had woken up spread, there were many people coming to his mansion to thank him.

To him, it was just helping them while removing the curse, but many of the older generations of the families he invited to help had been stuck in their cultivation for decades, and with Paul's help, they finally managed to break through to the next stage.

-Is that everyone?

Paul asked when the last family left the mansion, three days later.

-Yup, the only ones left are the province lord's family and the city lord's family.

Anna answered.

-Good, because it's more draining than channeling mana through me?

Paul said in a tired voice.

The ladies understood this since they had seen the whole procession of people coming every day, and all of them came to thank Paul for his help.

-So what's the plan now?

Natalie asked.

-Do we return to seclusion and cultivate until we can leave this realm?

-I don't know yet, but even if we do, then it won't be within the next couple of days.

Paul shook his head.

-Why not?

Wei Lan asked.

-Because we need to go to my stash.

Lord Sei materialized.

-Didn't you say that he would need to reach the tenth stage before he could go there?

Irine asked.

-Yes, and it would be perfect if that were the case, but there were some side effects of the array used to dispel the curse, and I'm not the only one who felt them.

The soul explained.

-He's right, I was also affected, and we need to get the soul treasures as soon as possible, or there might not be enough of us left to put into them.

Lady Peacock materialized as well.

-So that's why I suddenly got so many of your memories?

Su asked.

She gained a lot of levels and thought that was the cause.

-Yes, and it would be better if you stopped cultivating for now, since the assimilation rate increased a lot.

Her soul answered.

-Alright, so we all understand the situation now, but will it be safe for Paul to enter that stash of yours at his current level?

Elaina asked.

-Yes, it is safe.

Paul's soul answered.

-The reason I wanted to wait is that the energy required to use the scroll is substantial.

Paul had already reached the minimal required amount ever since he reached the eighth stage, but opening the scroll right now will deplete most of his mana and qi.

-Alright, since that's the case, when do you plan on going there?

Anna asked.

She was not happy about this whole situation, but there didn't seem to be any other way to save the two souls, and Paul looked determined to go, so she didn't even try to persuade him.

-As soon as we got rid of all the people who came to thank us.

Paul answered.

-The sooner we deal with it, the better.

He added, and both souls nodded in agreement.

An hour later, everyone was in the garden to bid Paul farewell and observe how an item from the higher realm functioned.

Lord Sei instructed the ladies to keep the scroll safe, as it was their way back, and if it was destroyed or even damaged, then they might have a hard time coming back.

With everything prepared, the soul instructed Paul to transfer his mana and qi into the scroll.

As soon as he did it, the scroll started glowing with a violet light.

Paul steadily supplied the item with power for a few minutes before it was ready to be used.

The moment it was ready, Sei instructed Paul to open the scroll and drop a few drops of his blood onto it.

When the blood touched the paper, it started to move on its own, leaving a trail on the paper.

At the same time, the scroll shot up into the air and started to grow.

This lasted for a while, but the moment it stopped, the scroll was bigger than the gate to their mansion, and the blood formed into a painting of a big door adorned with paintings of dragons that were very lifelike.

Then the door opened, revealing a corridor behind them.

-We need to go.

Paul's soul said, and the human nodded.

He was tired after using most of his powers to open this portal, but he knew that this would happen, so he was ready for it and approached the scroll.

-See you in a few days.

He said to his ladies and entered the painting.

As soon as he was inside, the door closed behind him, and the scroll shrank back to its original size before it fell to the ground.

-Don't worry, Sei never placed any traps or guards inside his stash, so it's perfectly safe.

Lady Peacock appeared again trying to cheer the ladies up, as they were not happy seeing Paul disappearing into the scroll.

-How do you know?

Su asked her soul.

-He told me about it when he created that place.

The ghostly woman answered.

-Also, he gave me, and a few other sisters access to it in case of an emergency, so I went there a few times to add a few things to the stash.

-Wait, does that mean that the woman who killed him also has access to that place?

Anna asked, with a terrified expression.

-No.

He never gave her access to it.

Lady Peacock shook her head.
