The moment their eyes met, they both smiled.
It felt like just yesterday they had last seen each other. However, it had already been several years since Klaus and the panther goddess last saw and spoke to each other.
While Klaus had yet to recall all of his memories as the Star Monarch, he knew enough to recognize that one of his fourteen Beast Generals was the lady walking toward him.
The Panther Goddess Bast.
She walked closer and spread her arms, asking for a hug.
Klaus smiled and then gave her a hug that contained all the emotions bottled up over all these years since they last saw each other.
Though she wasn't the True Panther goddess but a mere strand of her soul and consciousness, Klaus knew the real her would be smiling by now.
"It is good to see you again, Bast," Klaus said.
"You too, Lord Monarch."
Klaus's smile widened as he shook his head. "I already told you calling me Lord Monarch is weird."
