"Sir, you called for me?" Jessica asked, stepping into the lab.
"Sit down, there's something I'd like to discuss with you." he said, offering her a stool. She nodded, then sat down, her eyes puzzled. Her boss had been working tirelessly on their new product about to be launched, so it was rare to catch him so relaxed for a change.
"As you already know, we have a big project on the way, in about three weeks our product will be launched after it's final round of beta testing." he briefed her.
"Yes, I am aware sir." She knew all this, everyone at the company did.
"However, I will not be around when that happens." He reached into a drawer and pulled out two folders. He slid them across the counter to her, his demeanor dampened.
Jessica reached for the red folder and looked inside, after flipping a few pages, she frowned, "Sir, why do these new product designs have my name listed as the main supervisor?" she inquired, reaching for the blue folder, which had the same thing.
