After she said that, Brooke walked away to the bathroom, to make a call to the driver and have him come and pick her up. On her way out, she was met by Damien, who seemed to have something to say.
"Do you need something?" She asked, pushing her hair back.
Damien averted his eyes from her exposed shoulder, just like most of the men at the event, he had had his gaze on Brooke right from the moment she walked in.
"Last night at the hotel. Why did you go and see him?" Damien asked, recalling yesterday's incident.
Brooke rolled her tongue around her mouth. She didn't expect him to outright come out and ask her. "It's not something I think I have to explain to you, now is it?"
Her response left him stunned. "What would you have done if it wasn't me but someone else who-"
She cut him off. "I appreciate you keeping quiet about what you saw, but I will not be answering any more of your questions." She said then turned to leave.
