There was bad blood between the River Creek pack and Khaos two years ago and as far as Zuri knew, Khaos killed one of the elders in the pack. It was enough to warrant a death sentence, but somehow, he managed to leave with his head still intact, and now he has returned.
Therefore, Zuri was a little bit taken aback when she heard his blatant offer.
"You can call me, Khaos."
"I can't do that," Zuri replied politely and then walked toward the white wolf. "Is it yours?"
"Hm." He squatted down and touched the wolf's head, as the creature stirred and nuzzled against his touch. "Mackenzie Gracelyn Mordechai the third."
"What?" Zuri frowned.
"His name." Khaos looked over his shoulder and grinned at her.
Zuri was a second too late to realize that he was talking about the white wolf. "He has a very… unique name." She was not sure how to respond to that and why she was in this situation. But, because he knew the white wolf's name, it meant he was the owner.
