Cassian had been training for a few hours inside the field, but outside, barely an hour had passed. When he finally stepped out of the system's Training Field, he was relieved to find the room empty.
That relief didn't last long.
He froze when he heard Brigid's voice behind him. "When did you come in?"
She walked out of the washroom, towel in hand, drying her wet hair — and completely naked. Cassian, already on edge from earlier frustration, felt himself stiffen the moment he saw her. Her skin still glistened with droplets that he couldn't help but want to trace with his tongue.
The water made the lines of her toned stomach stand out even more, and her modest breasts looked almost too inviting to resist.
When she noticed his eyes fixed on her, a shiver ran down her spine. She quickly crossed her arms over her chest, though she didn't bother hiding the rest — the patch of purple hair below already doing that much. She glared at him.
