Chapter 410: Ehe~
"Fu Hua-sensei, thank you for your guidance!"
"Sakura, thank you for the sword—and please help me pass my thanks to Mr. Kalpas as well. He doesn't seem to like me very much."
"Ancestor Kevin, I'm heading back! I'll treat the real you to a meal in the real world!"
"Big Sister Eden, Bronya will miss you."
"Mr. Su, Seele… Seele wants to say goodbye to you! And also—Seele will work hard to become the best doctor she can be!"
"Old Timer from fifty thousand years ago, we're leaving! Remember to go chat with people more often—don't get too lonely, okay!"
One by one, the girls waved farewell to the Heroes, then stepped through the portals that led back to the real world.
In the end, only Sigurd remained, carrying Mobius's embryonic nutrient tank, facing the residents of the Elysian Realm.
"Any last wishes?" he asked casually. "If it's within reason, I can help make them come true."
He treated it as payment for their cooperation during this time.
At once, the expressions of the Heroic memory constructs turned… complicated.
Sure, most of their original bodies were truly long dead—but as memory constructs, they still had emotions, could think, and weren't all that different from living people. Not to mention that a few of them still had living originals.
So… last wishes? What was that supposed to mean?
"Looks like no matter the era, the strongest man always has terrible emotional intelligence," the fairy-like girl said, stroking her chin and nodding solemnly.
As a result, the memory constructs collectively turned their gazes toward the stoic Kevin, then toward the equally expressionless Sigurd—before nodding in unison, agreeing with Elysia's conclusion.
Perhaps this was simply the price of their overwhelming power?
"Are you all thinking something rude right now?" Kevin asked, only belatedly realizing something was off, his brow furrowing.
Su patted Kevin on the shoulder with a gentle smile—everything that needed to be said was already understood.
Sigurd, meanwhile, shook his head and consoled Kevin:
"Don't mind the opinions of ordinary people. If you're strong, then you're right. Take me, for example—because I'm strong enough, they decided to make me emperor. Honestly speaking, if you'd taken that route in the Previous Era, the outcome might not have been the same."
"...Those things have nothing to do with me anymore."
"Suit yourself. As long as you've come to terms with it. Either way, staying here, your powerful will-energy can still be put to use by me. As for the others… changed your minds, have you? Looks like some of you did."
Sigurd's lips curved upward.
Opposite him, among the Heroes who had come to see him off, someone smiled sweetly, raised a small hand white as jade, and playfully wiggled her fingers.
...
"Hahahahaha!"
"This is a brand-new era, a brand-new Mobius, and a brand-new—me!!!"
Light burst forth from the ancient stone gate. Mobius's graceful, slender figure emerged, her snake-like waist twisting as she released a laugh of exhilaration suppressed for ten thousand years.
Senti stared blankly at the scene. Suddenly, her ahoge shot straight up as she pointed at Mobius and shouted:
"Hey! Why are you stealing my lines?!"
"Hm? Hua, things are different now. Facing me in my fully restored state, you should show proper reverence—just like you did fifty thousand years ago."
"Hah? I think you're lighting a lamp in the toilet—looking for death, aren't you?!"
"So you've already forgotten your fear of me. In that case, it seems necessary to remind you properly… of what position a lab rat should be in."
Mobius sat atop her hovering device, high above; Senti rolled up her sleeves, standing below.
Their gazes met and invisible sparks crackled and exploded in the air between them.
Then the two figures collided head-on.
BOOM!!!
The shockwave's violent gust swept across the faces of everyone watching.
Kiana wiped her face and adopted the look of a dead fish.
"Have those two always been this brave? Don't they know Sig is still right there behind them? Even I know this is how you end up getting strung up and beaten—this is seriously next-level courage!"
She clicked her tongue and shook her head in amazement.
Fu Hua had originally been watching from the sidelines, hesitating over whether she should step in to stop them. After hearing Kiana's comment, she nodded and muttered to herself:
"You're right. It's better not to cause Sigurd any trouble."
As her words fell, Fu Hua stepped forward. The gray in her eyes ignited into a flame-like crimson.
"Mobius, witness my current power! Strange Weapon of Yin and Yang, atta—eh? I told you to attack her, not me! W-waaah!"
Senti crashed to the ground, bound tightly by the chains of the Strange Weapon of Yin and Yang. Even her mouth was sealed. She wriggled and struggled on the floor like a caterpillar, but couldn't break free.
Mobius hovered in midair and suddenly burst into laughter.
"Hahahaha! Not bad—you've got some presence now. But in the end, you're still far from enough. Let me re-implant your fear of me, Hua!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
She lashed out again and again with a dark-green energy whip. Though it struck only empty air, it was as if she were savagely whipping a real target—utterly engrossed.
Fu Hua raised one hand, a golden feather resting in her palm, and sighed helplessly.
"Honestly… Senti aside, Dr. Mobius is a highly educated talent and much older than her. Shouldn't she at least be a bit more composed?"
With that sigh, Fu Hua turned her gaze toward the stone gate glowing with white light, waiting for Sigurd to emerge.
Suddenly, a figure flashed into existence behind her. A pair of soft, warm hands gently wrapped around her waist.
"Fuu~"
"Y-yaa!!"
Feeling the warm breath by her ear, Fu Hua cried out in surprise. The sound was cuter and more innocent than anyone had ever heard before, instantly drawing everyone's attention.
And thus, the mischievous and adorable pink elven girl entered their view.
"L-Lady Elysia!?"
"That's me~ The mysterious and charming pink elf, making her grand entrance!"
"Let go of me!"
"Nope! I never knew Hua's waist was so soft, so slender, so smooth—and you even smell amazing. I can't believe I never noticed before!"
Elysia's hands moved teasingly at Fu Hua's waist as she breathed ambiguously into her ear.
"I-I-I— Elysia!!!"
Fu Hua's face flushed bright red as she finally shouted Elysia's name.
Elysia stuck out her tongue, released Fu Hua, and took a step back.
"Alright, alright, I know Hua isn't used to it yet. But that's fine—this pretty elf has patience for every cute girl. I'll wait until the day Hua gets used to it. Ehe~"
"What does ehe even mean…?"
Fu Hua complained helplessly at Elysia, who was sticking out her tongue and acting cute.
Then, suddenly blinking, Fu Hua realized something belatedly.
"Wait—you came out too?"
"Is that not allowed? Does Elysia's choice seem strange to Hua?"
"It's not that exactly… anyway, welcome, Elysia."
"Thank you! The adorable me will do her best and strive to become even more adorable!"
Elysia said with a bright smile.
At the same time, footsteps sounded, and Sigurd's figure slowly emerged from the white light as well.
